3 THINGS FOR FRIDAY THE 13TH!!!

Hey everyone!!!  Happy the Mouser has been on the prowl since about 1:30 - consequently, I'VE been up since that time, too - off and on!!  I don't feel too tired, but it's still early - I'm thinking I'll be slumped across the desk by 12 or so!!!  Hope everyone has a great Valentine's Day - even if you don't have a significant other (sometimes, you can be grateful for THAT!), tell someone that you love just how much they mean to you.  You never know when it might be the last time you have the opportunity to say that to that person!

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  Happy the Mouser's great nose!!  I swear, the terrier in her is just working 24/7!!!  Thank God, too, because tonight, I'll be tearing apart my bedroom to see if I can find what has them so intrigued with it!!  BE GONE, EVIL ONES!!!!! (Said in my best Drop Dead Fred voice!)

2.  I had some alone time with K this a.m. as I took her to band practice.  It's only about 15 minutes, but we were able to catch up on some things.  I love seeing the amazing young woman she's becoming.

3.  The heat is OFF in the building.  My hands are freezing, but I don't care if I've got to wear a parka - I was SO sick of the oppressive heat in this building!!  It was making everyone feel soooo sluggish!!!

Have a great weekend!!!

Hugs,

Tia

Well, my yesterday did not turn out like I planned. We lost power in the office at about 2:30PM and it did not come up until some time last evening. So I lost a lot of productive time yesterday/ This means I have to scramble today. I want all of this stuff off of my back so that I can enjoy this long weekend!

Darla - I already sent you an email. Hang in there. You have so much to be proud of. Enjoy it! Every moment you spend beating yourself up is time where you are missing the opportunity to revel in all of the good things you have done.

Tia - I understand what you mean about the colder temps. It is so much easier to put more clothes on than take them off at work!!!!!

Today -

1 - Despite all of the work I have to do, I am feeling up because I accomplished all of the Valentine's things I wanted to do. I made stuff for the office and that always makes me happy to spoil others!

2 - That it is Friday, and the Friday before a long weekend, which I sorely need. This is the first year we have had President's day off. I have so much I want to do this weekend, fun stuff as well as stuff that I need to get done and will feel so much better when it is done.

3 - Friends, family, and life.

Have a super Valentine's Day!

Debbie

Hello! I'm trying to be more involved in my Maryland board, so here goes!

Today I am grateful for:

1. My adorable girls. They just make my heart swell. Love, love, love them.

2. My RNY. I feel for the first time in my life like I finally have a shot at being successful at this weightloss thing.

3. My husband. Granted, he is a turkey sometimes, but he kept my girls alive this week while I recouped and my daughter's clothes even matched!

Happy Valentine's weekend!

Denise

Morning Denise!!

I'm so happy to have you join us this a.m. and look forward to eventually meeting you!!!  You'll find, if you haven't already, that this board is a constant source of (sometimes useless) info and lots of laughs.  Well, at least *I* think I'm funny!!  LOL!!!!  I'm excited to watch your journey - you're going to be soooo excited to melt away!!!

So.....you have girls!!  How many?  How old are they?  I don't have any of my own, but help my brother take care of his daughter (K), and son (B).  I usually refer to them as KB - because I talk about them ALL the time!!!!  I'm sure it gets boring hearing my KB stories, but everyone on here's a good sport about indulging me!!

As for having a good hubby, trust me, a turkey's better than a pig!!!  From someone who was married to an alcoholic a long time ago and who can't seem to find a decent man now to save her life - if he's a good hubby and father, doesn't drink, run around on you, gamble, or abuse you and the girls - he's a keeper!!!!

Have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Hugs,

Tia

Thanks Tia! My girls are 7 and almost 3. They are so flippin' cute sometimes. And of course they can run me ragged at times too, but they are awesome.

As for hubby, he is genuinely a good man. I'm sorry to have snagged one off the market, but glad I have him. He doesn't drink, smoke, never tried drugs, hasn't cheated to my knowledge  (I think he knows to fear for his life if he goes down that road, so I'm probably safe on that one), and is just a nice guy all around. Like I said, he has his moments, but he always comes home happy to be here and really loves his family. My friends are always saying how disgusting it is that he is always so happy when he gets home from a long day. I can take that kind of criticism! He's human though and has been dealing with some tendonitis problems that are really taking a toll on his physical being and it is making it hard to be as happy all the time. I'm hoping we work through that this year and get him better.

Well, thanks for the nice welcome. I do hope to get to one or another of the functions you guys have.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Denise
