Hey Fellow Marylanders!
Just wanted to stop by and say HELLO!
Im from Southern MD and will be having my surgery in Woodbridge, VA at Potomac Hospital. Since Im so far south, it was actually closer to travel to VA than Baltimore and I sure cant drive thru DC!!
Right now my surgery is up in the air...I had a 'borderline abnormal EKG' and had to go out this am to get a 2D Echo. The tech said everything looked fine to her. Im hoping the abnormality was just because the little sticky thingies kept coming loose!
I am SO looking forward to having my surgery!!

Hey! Thanks for the warm welcome!
I still have my fingers crossed regarding the Echo, but like I said, the tech said everything looked fine. I head out to VA on Monday for my final visit with the surgeon, NUT counseling (one on one) and meet with the anest.
Melissa, Im from Calvert too. I joined a group that has meetings in LaPlata, however I wont be able to make any of them until after surg. They meet the third Weds of the month. Check it out under groups.

Hello 2 u also. It looks like 2-24-09 could be good luck days for both of us. I am scheduled to have VSG on that very day.I am sure your 2nd echo will be fine, and you will be in the OR same as me. I will be sending good, positive energy your way! Good Luck and keep me posted.Hopefully we will have a easy and successful journey.
