Hi there!
I am a patient of Dr. G but my sister had Dr. Li.  LOVE HER!  She is great, awesome bedside manor.  My sister has really rocked her tool and with Dr. Li, she makes it all possible.  She listens to her patients. LOVE HER!
Best Wishes on this wonderful journey you are about to take.
Hugs Kristen

Dr. Li does have you lose weight before and I never understood that until my sister was a patient.  It all make sense now to me.  She gets you started on good habits.  Its a good thing.

Hi and welcome to the Maryland Board!!

I searched through our member list and didn't see any regular posters who had Dr. Li, but maybe someone will respond.

In any event, I just wanted to wish you good luck in your journey!!!

Dr. Li did my Lap Band in 2005 as well as my revision to VGS on Friday (1/30/09). She is GREAT! Tough but great!! If she see you taking baby steps she will take bigger steps with you. OK the 20lbs you didn't loose but you did stop smoking. YEPPIE!!

Keep up the good work Dr. Li is a great surgeon to have in your corner!

All the best

Do you think I should cancel my rib check in date until I lose the 20 pounds?

No, don't cancel your appointment. Get back on track with your weight lose you will feel so much better. Dr. Li and most WLSurgeons want you to loose weight so your liver will shrink and they can have an easier time with the surgery. Loosing the weight before the surgery is a great motivator for you too! It will help you get used to eating the way you will be eating once you have the WLS.

I hope this helps!
