Okay, my boss will be out of the office on May 8th so I cannot furlough that day.  So, we have a choice between May 1st, and May 15th.

Alot of the responses were Hershey Park - so it may be Hershey Park.  I was almost waiting for someone to say they wanted Hershey Squirts - but I don't think we've found the S/F chocolates yet.......

As far as the charter goes, I have yet to call to find out details.

I do not think that we want to have a catered lunch as part of the group package- because it may be all carbs and chocolate and no protein.  Right?

Should we have a color theme going?  Or can we find shirts that say "Loser" on them?  LOL

Let me know how many of you would be interested in going.  Then I'll be able to determine what size bus we'd need to pull this off if we're brave enough to go act like big kids!

Speaking of Kids, if you want to bring them, let us know how old they are!  I think they charge different prices for different age brackets?

Hey Candy!!!

Either day in May works for me.  I'm all for Hershey Park!  No, most places that do boxed lunches wouldn't be able to cater to our special needs.

Sorry, but I have personal reasons for NOT wanting ANYTHING that says "Loser" on it!!!  But that's just me.

As far as anything else, I'll go along with what everyone else wants.

Thanks again!!

Tia

Well, you know I'm up for ANYTHING purple!!!  And just because of the Ravens, I know Darla would be, too!!!!

I have a friend who does BEAUTIFUL embroidery on t-shirts, so if you want me to get some prices, let me know!!!

If memory serves me right Hershey Park does have gazebos where you can eat your lunch if you take it with you. Maybe everyone could bring a WL friendly dish/snack to share with everyone if it would not be too much of a problem. Preferably something that can sit on ice or don't need to be warmed.

Also I may be taking my children if kids are allowefd to partake in the festivities. I just want to personally race them around the park without getting tired and watching them have all the fun.

Hey Danielle -

I just checked their website and they even have a blurb about healthier choices.  Personally, I think it'd be a pain to transport any kind of substantial food - you know, other than some healthy snacks, etc.

Plus, I saw that you can't take food or beverages INTO the park, but they have lockers, etc.

Just seems like more of a hassle than I personally want!!!!

It's yoru choice if you want to bring the kids or not.  I think school is still open in May?  Would you want them to play hookie so you can chase them?  WINK

Hubby has a T shirt connection -  We could get dark purple shirts for about 2.82 each up to a size XL.   Any larger - it can be up to 4.49 for a 3 XL.

I can contact Thundercreek - we've used them before for the silk screening - that may be cheaper for the shirts -  only if we want to have shirts to show off who we are.

Or just get the shirts and distribute them without any wording?

Maybe take a vote on who even would be interested in shirts?  I know the cost is minimal, but in these tough times, people may not even want to spend an extra (potential) $5.

Just a thought!!!!

I am interested, so please keep me in the loop with the pricing.  If we are doing children, it would be 3 children and me and maybe hubby.  Either of the 2 days is good with me.
