3 THINGS FOR SNOWY HUMP DAY!!!

Good morning!!!  I know Darla's saying that there's nothing beautiful about snow, but this a.m., when I let Happy out at 5:30, it was SOOOO glittery and soft looking!!!  Isn't it funny how initially, snow can make everything look so clean and bright and then BAM! ugly and gray??  LOL!!!

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  That even though it took a little longer, my drive to work was pretty uneventful.

2.  My Mom - She rocks!!!  I'd been making noises about how I missed her homemade rice pudding, so she made some yesterday.   A regular batch for everyone else and a Splenda-infused smaller bowl just for me.  And no, don't ask me for a recipe, 'cause she just kinda throws it together!!!  And it's not your typical rice pudding - i.e., it's not creamy - in fact, after it's cold, you can slice it!!  But it's what I grew up with and the ultimate comfort food!!!!

3.  That even though I love my KB, I'm so glad my brother's hours have changed somewhat.  Now, I actually have some "me" time in the evenings!!!

Have a great, safe day everyone!!

Me time is so important! Good for you Tia!

Today, I'm grateful that:

1. I forced myself to drive through the blizzard (okay, I admit it! I'm a wuss when it snows... even just an inch!)

2. The food I ate yesterday. I drank enough fluid, got enough protein in my foods, and took my vitamins and pills! It's the first time that I can say I finally did everything that I was supposed to do. I will work on making this a daily habit since it's what I'm supposed to be doing and will ultimately make my weight loss and health greater.

3. Pete is going away for work Friday-Monday and I will have some alone time to finish the last minute touches on the suprises Valentine's getaway I have planned for us.

4. Life is just.... wonderful! I'm acquiring new friends, have a wonderful and loving family and my health improves daily! I am blessed to be so rich with all that I have.

Morning, sweetie!!!

Glad you made it to work okay!!!  Blizzard??? LOL!!!!  Yes, you ARE a wuss!!!!  But I love ya, anyway!!!

Way to go on the program!!!  Yes, you ultimately will benefit, but so will Pete and the rest of the family, in having a healthier, happier Ren around for much longer!!!!  DO IT AGAIN TODAY!!!

Okay, so I won't tell, but tell US your VD getaway plans!!!!  Or at least call me so I can live vicariously!!!  LOL!!!

Hugs,

T

The only thing that Pete knows is that we are going away for a few days and that he needs to bring swim trunks.

I'm packing towels, snow apparel, swim suits, wine, cheese, canteloupe, grapes and chocolate covered strawberries, candles, bubblebath, lingerie and chocolate scented  shower gel (smells divine).

We are leaving Friday morning for the Poconos. While we are there, I have it planned that he and I will go snow tubing Friday night at Big Boulder, on Saturday, we'll go to the indoor water park and swim, play and soak in the hot tubs all day. Saturday night will be dinner ... followed by a couples massage. Sunday morning I'm looking into a horse drawn sleigh ride. I want to come home Sunday evening, even though we are both off on Monday. It will give us a chance to relax all day instead of having to go back to work tired.

I think we should return with a big case of incurable VD  happiness! LoL

ly,
Ren

Rice pudding - Oh Tia, I remember my Mom making this too! I remember it the way you describe. I am not so big on rice any more, but it is a nice memory.

I am working from home again today so I can go for my dentist appointment that was cancelled last Wed.

I am keeping thingds simple today:

1 - My family

2 - My friends

3 - My life

Morning, Deb!!!  Yep, rice is not my friend, generally, but a little bit of this was okay!!!  My Mom just ROCKS!!!!!  In fact, her 65th bday is coming up (I can't believe it - I hope *I* look that good at 65!!!), and I'm trying to figure out something special to do for her.  I wanted to do something special for her 60th, but we were in the middle of her recovering from cancer surgery, and she just wasn't up to anything.

Ugh, good luck at the dentist!! You know I feel your pain!!!

Have a great day!!!

Hugs,

Today is only a visit with the hygenist - so not too bad!

I have not met your Mom yet. Hopefully, I will have the honor some day. Maybe we can brainstorm some ideas on Sunday!

I don't know - they're in your mouth with sharp instruments!!!  Naaaah, I'll pass!!!  I have to go next week to have my surgical follow-up, then I get to start on the rest of the work!!!  It sounds crazy, but I'd rather have a root canal than a crown-prep!!!  Yeah, I'm weird!!  And I got the "official" estimate for all the work I need done - $13,000!!! O U C H!!!

Yes, you'll get to meet Mom - hopefully, soon!!!  She loves all of my friends!!  She was never what I considered a "cool" Mom when I was growing up, but as I've become a "pseudo" Mom to KB, I see that she really was light years ahead of her time!!!

Good Morning

No Darla is not happy about the snow :  especially since I put on my brakes and
slid into the intersection :  fortunately there was no one coming the other way.

Today I am grateful for

1.  That Mom is feeling a little better this morning

2.  For all of you who asked about Mom yesterday:  Its so nice having friends that care.

3.  That I forced myself back to the MAC last night:  It was difficult to do but I did it

4.  That its bowling night -  you know even though I suck at it I look forward to it every week.

5.  That I did not hit anyone this morning when the car decided not to stop.

So please everyone  Drive carefully and Have a great day
