Good Morning everyone :

Tia will be in later today so I thought I would start tehe post this morning.

1.  Once again one of my parents is ill and I have to take off (at least part of the day)
to get Mom to a Dr.  Just grateful my coworkers will hold down the fort till I can get in.

2.  For my awesome Pilates teacher:  I had a mini-meltdown at class last night
with some new moves ( I was flat out petrified) but she helped me out by "spotting
me and I overcame the fear - not sure if I did it right but I gave it my best shot.

3.  For all of you who daily give me support be it via email, pms, phonecalls or
physical presence. Love you guys;

So whats going on in your world today Maryland?

Good morning Darla,

I am about to run out and I will be back a little later.
I hope you have a great day.

Today I am grateful for:

1. It snowed a little and I am glad that school is open.

2. God's blessings, He is truly amazing!

3. The love and unconditional support of my OH family.

Have a great day everyone.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

I just have to add that I was with Darla at Pilates last night. She did phenominal. I don't know if I can paint a picture of how scary a position that was. But we had to lay our bodies sideways over a little box, holding the parts of our bodies that extended over the box (it WAS a small rectangular box on a table - so we were elevated off of the floor!) in the proper position and then do specific exercises with our arms. Our Pilates trainer told us this was a very advanced move. For those of us who are learning to deal with our new bodies and do things that were never possible before this was quite a challenge. I am proud of Darla and myself for completing this exercise. Since this was our first time for this particular move, I am certain our form could be improved upon, but the fact remains that we did it. Darla did it!

Today, I am thankful for....

1 - A beautiful snow. It was so nice to drive this morning in a snow that is pretty but does no real damage to the roads. I can see a distant window from my desk and I keep peeking at it. It lifts my mood.

2 - Completing Day one of the FDPT (5 day pouch test). It was hard to stick with liquids. I was not hungry, but I had plenty of appetite! I think I drank more fluids in one day than I have ever done before! There is another day of liquids today before we move onto some things with a little more substance tomorrow!

3 - Celestial Seasongs Bengal Spice Tea (caffeinne free too) - I am addicted to this stuff right now. It has a spicy kick that I just love! In fact, I am off to make myself another 34 oz. mug of it! Yummm!

Have a super day!

Just to give everyone an idea of what Deb and I are talking about I am posting a picture
of a reformer

STOTT PILATES Professional Reformer

Professional Reformer
The Professional Reformer is suitable for all types of clients from athletes, to rehab recipients, to older adults, to regular fitness enthusiasts. It is most appropriate in a dedicated space and facilitates hundreds of effective full-body exercises making it ideal for both boutique studios and in-club Pilates studios.

Ok  now picture a box sitting length wise across it - we were to lay on our sides on
the box with one arm "hugging " the box - meanwhile our heads are hanging over the side
and we had to bend out knees so that they rested on the box.    The trick for me was just
to balance on the box without falling off.  The arm exercise Deb mentioned was
holding a ball in the hand not hugging the box -  holding the ball straight up
then lowing it to your head then back up and over to your hip   --  Not a graceful thing
about it let me tell you :  I 'm sitting here now thinking it wasn't so bad but last night
I was in tears-  scared to death. I survived the one side and thought oh thank God
that exercise is over -  then she said ok time to do the same thing on the other side -
The second side was easier so I'm hoping next time we do it I won't freak out
