It is official that my insurance is going to cover my RNY!! x-post

You may or may not recall that a while back my the company that administers my health benefits said they did an intercompany audit and felt they may have misinterpreted the obesity exclusion and were possibly going to stop covering the RNY. I was freaked out completely. The surgeon, however, was prepared to go ahead with the surgery, because I guess they figure they'll get their money one way or another! Well, after several weeks of waiting, I received a letter from my 3rd party insurance fund and they have told me they are going to cover my RNY surgery. Whooooooooo Hooooooooo! So I was going to be heading into this surgery not knowing if I'd be facing a denial on the other side, but now I can go to surgery not worrying about where I am going to come up with 25K+. Oh joy of joys!

Just wanted to share my AWESOME news.

YAY 5 more days for us. I had to have my labs redone today and Sr. S should have them tomorrow. He wanted to know if I was still anemic. So I will find out tomorrow if I still am. At least he didn't cancel me yet. I don't feel like I am anymore. I don't eat the ice anymore and I have way more energy now. We will see tomorrow though like I said. I'm so glad you don't have to pay. That we'll take alot of stress off of you that you don't need. Here's to us
