Oh my gosh, I am so sorry. That must have been terrifying. I will definitely be keeping you and him in my thoughts. I hope very much that he will be ok. Try not to let the doctors get away with not figuring this out. they tend to do that when it's something not easy to diagnose.

Thanks Nic!! They diagnosed him with Vasovagal Syncope. I just hope he never has a spell bad enough to cause a seizure like that again.

Jilly,

I will keep your husband in my prayers.  When I was about 13 years old my mother was having these "fainting" spells, and she would be standing at the stove and just fall to the floor.  Well my father finally made her go to the hospital, and we found out that her "fainting" spells were actually seizures.  She had a brain tumor that grew from the size of a pea to the size of a walnut in a matter of 2 weeks.  They did surgery to remove it, and she came out better then they anticipated.  She still takes medicine to control her seizures, but other then that she is alive.  As a precaution, your husband should def see a neurologist and have a CAT Scan and MRI done of his brain.  It's always better to be safe then sorry.  I hope everything goes well, and as I said I will keep him in my prayers.

Take care,
Becki

Jilly:

Wow, how scarey!!!!  My mom, too, suffers with seizures.  She had a brain anurisym about 17 years ago and as a result still suffers.  I can remember the first she had when we were out together, we were sitting in a car at a McDonalds in February.  All of a sudden I looked over and her sandwich was being squished in her fingers.  I looked up and I knew that she was convulsing.  I jumped out of the car and started screaming for someone to help and call 911.  Ambulance arrived about 10 minutes later.  I've never felt so helpless in my life!  Good thing is, that they usually don't remember going through the seizure and it doesn't do any kind of brain damage normally.  Please make sure he follows through. My mother is on anti-seizure medication (tegretol) and it seems to be working.  She has had several other seizures since then, but usually being sick for one reason or another brings them on.
Hang in there, we are all praying for you!

(((((Lisa)))))))) It took ten min for help to get there? OMG! I dont know what I would have done with that much time passing. I felt helpless as it was so I cant even imagine what you went through. (((Hugs)))) Im glad your Mom is on medication now. Thanks for the prayers sweetie. ;o)
