OMGOSH!! Thank you so much Terri. That is quite an ordeal your husband went through. I have heard of that Neurologist before so maybe I will get Mike to go see him soon. His PCP never mentioned Neuro but I too feel it is a very good idea. Your husband worked for NASA for 25 years?? WOW! It is scary that he has still had seizures since then. Are you always with him when they happen? I was so scared and cant imagine seeing that more then once. Thank God his Cardio thinks this can be something we deal with and it may not happen often. Thanks for the prayers. ;o)

No, I was only with him that one time and like you it scared me to death!!!  I don't ever want to see it again. One time he was home by himself and I came home and he was lying in the chair and his face was all beat up and bruised and blood was all over in the dining room he apparently had one by himself and fell and was seizing near the leg of the dining room table, I felt so bad for him. He is careful now with the Dilantin and takes it faithfully and gets his level set.  He has been on Dilantin for a long time now and it is the safest anit seizure medication and does not have any side affects that are debilitating.  One that they also presribe is Phenobarbetal if doctors try to give your husband that one don't get that one that can make them like a zombie.  My husband functioned and still functions extremely well on Dilantin.   Please keep me posted and yes please have him see the neurologist - either one of the them are good.

I will continue to keep you both in my thoughts and prayers

Hugs,
Terri

I will be praying that he will be fine and that you can stay strong. I think that seeing that would have shaken anyone up.
