3 THINGS FOR WEDNESDAY

Good morning!!  Well, almost afternoon.  What a mess out there, huh?  Although the State has liberal leave today, I just decided to come in late as opposed to not at all, but I really wish I'd stayed home.  Evidently, people don't get the concept of fully cleaning off their cars - HUGE sheets of ice were flying off of cars on 695.  One piece hit my windshield so hard I thought for sure it broke it.  No damage though!!!

Poor Happy was like, "WTF?" when I took her outside - she wanted NO parts of outside!!!  Poor lil thing!!!!

So today, I'm grateful for:

1.  That Becki's Hunter is home and hopefully, he can recuperate and they can both get some much needed rest.

2.  OC vacation books have started arriving!!!  A true sign of summer!!!  I found a great place in West Ocean City that is big enough for all 6 of us and best of all, they allow pets!!!  I hated boarding Happy last year - when she came home, she'd rubbed the black off the end of her nose trying to get out of the cage!!  WAAAAH!!!

3.  That I have an INSIDE job.  I would NOT trade places with my brother today for all the money in the world!!!!

Hope everyone made it in safely - have an equally safe trip home!!!

I thought they passed a law about cleaning off the cars completely, but it seems there are many who ignore it. I agree with you, it is scary when that stuff hits you. I seem to remember an instance last year where a woman was seriously injured by flying ice into her windshield!

Not really sure it's a law that's enforced, but man, people were driving like it was a clear spring day!!  I don't get it!!!!  No headlights, (it IS a law that if your wipers are going, your headlights have to be on), half cleaned cars, tailgating, etc.!!!!

UGH!!!

Good Morning :

Was getting worried about you - then I thought maybe you were making your way to work.
It took me about 30 min run time on the car and another 15 minutes to shove all the ice
off the roof and scrape the side windows.  Other then that there were not many cars
on the road but those that were had not bothered to clear the  roofs so it was flying
ice everywhere --  did not see any accidents or anything .

So mine for today are.

1.  That I did not fall on the ice  walking from the house to the car and then the car to the office.

2.  That Hunter is better and resting at home

3.  That I forced myself to the MAC yesterday and exercised for a solid 2.5 hours.

4.  Stealing one from Tia:  I received an email from the Cruise to Lose travel agent that
brochures for the November cruise will be coming shortly   -   I wanna vacation so
bad --- sigh  10 months to go LOL

5.  that I have boots that fit and close  tightly

I didn't want to come in at all, but given that I've been off so much lately.....

As I tippy-toed to the car (like you, in boots that closed over my calves!!), I just kept praying, "Please don't let me fall, please don't let me fall!!!"

Here's to an uneventful drive home tonight!!!  (crossing fingers!)

Good morning cutie-pie ((( hugs )))

oooooooooh .. let's see ..

1) delayed opening so I didn't have to feel guilty about taking my time to get here and I was actually here well in advance of the time I 'needed' to be here by.

2) that I was still in my own driveway when Big Blue decided being sideways might be fun!   Yesterday BB and I were sideways lots of places outside of the driveway

3) that no matter what we are getting weather wise .. it's worse other places.   I have a friend in Michigan who said they have had 61.8 inches of snow so far and the season is far from over for them.   Another friend in NY state has 4 feet on the ground and another 12 inches predicted for this storm front.

Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

You are right about the weather Mo. It is good that MistyLynn got home when she did. I had an email from my cousin in Indiana this morning and they had a foot of snow yesterday and overnight!

((( MOIE )))

Sounds like BB's getting a little too big for his britches!!!  I slid this a.m. on 695 - I wasn't even driving at my normal breakneck speed, either!!!  Scary stuff!!  Nothing like going sideways to make you alert for the rest of the drive!!!!

Oh, yeah, we could've had it much worse!!!  All I asked for was some snow, dammit - I didn't order this ice and junk!!

Be careful going home!

I just got a new one to add - They are clearing the sidewalks in my development - Yeah! They just did the one for my building. Now I can get out to my car with much less worry!

Please be safe everyone!
