Well I'm glad that she's doing alright.  I'm glad that the surgeon did what he did to make her healthier in the long run and for a better chance at a successful surgery when it comes.  The next 2 or 3 months will fly by and she'll be just in time to go out and enjoy the nice weather when she walks.  I will be here for her.  I know how disappointing it's going to be....just like when I thought I had my 6 months done but I had breaks in my visits and had to extend it another 3 months.

Aaron,

I bet she would be happy to talk  with you regarding her delay since you went through the same thing. Sometimes it seems that we are the only ones who are going through something or who have went through something when we just don't know of anyone else who has been through it.

~hugs~

Oh poor Brandi!!!  I know she will be disappointed but I am happy that she has a great doctor that found the "issue " and took care of it.
A couple months will come and go quickly.

Glad to know that she is doing fine.

Thank you for the update Ren!

(((((hugs)))))

Awwwwwwwwwwwwww well I am sure the Surgeon is doing what he feels is in the best interest of Brandi. I pray she will be okay. So she got the incisions and they were inside her when they realized this? I cant even imagine. Poor Brandi. I hope she comes home tomorrow and is feeling ok. This breaks my heart. Thanks for the update. (((Hugs)))

Having Dr. Singh as my doctor - I was very confident that he'd do the right thing.  I even heard of one time when he went in and found someone in an advanced stage of some disease and stopped the surgery.  I think that the patient came back a few months later for a different type of surgery but  nevertheless, he didn't jeopardize her health, and to me, that's admirable.

Dr. Singh is very articulate and thorough - he even fixed my hiatial hernia while I was being banded.  He wouldn't stop a surgery for no reason.

Brandi, just imagine you'll have absolutely beautiful weather to start your recovery.  You are welcome here because eventually, you will be a loser!    Hang in there!

I think I was this patient.....yes, Dr. S found that I have advanced cirrochis of the liver.  He was in to band me in february... found the disease (a BIG surprise for all involved) and stopped my surgery.  I went to a liver specialist and between Dr. S, my PCP and the liver specialist, I had the sleeve in May.

I say that he saved my life in more than one way.

Brandi, if you read this, please contact me if you need to talk... I DO know what you are going thru....you will make it.... the three months or so will go by quickly.

Awww...that sucks for Brandi...that she has to wait a little longer for RNY!  It's a good thing the doc fixed what was wrong and will let her heal from that before proceeding!  Hang in there Brandi!
