One small setback
Well murphy's law applies to me to I guess. Last week my t-shirt started to irritate my main incision scar which had healed nicely. About 2 days after that a blood red bubble showed up so i put a bandage over it and called my surgeons office. The NP said that it was all the tissue meshing back together and to keep it clean. The next morning when i woke up at work it had busted open and was draining. I got home and cleaned it up ( Using my EMT skills ) and called and asked for some antibiotics even though the fluid was pinkish red and thin and I was prescribed one. I went to my surgeon yesterday and he said it was a stitch that hadn't dissolved and just to keep it clean and as soon as it healed my first fill would be back on. So all in all it is just minor of course I was thinking the worse that I would have to go through a port revision but he said the port was fine shew what a relief. I think the redness from the tape and large band aids is worse than the infection LOL.
Hey sweetie!!!
Glad it was nothing more serious than that!!! Just a small bump in the road!! I got some really nasty blisters from the adhesive - literally pulled my skin off, akin to a 2nd degree burn!! If, God forbid, that happens to you, get some Silvadene burn ointment - it really works well for that. But don't, whatever you do, put any petroleum based ointments on the area or you'll be
!!!
