Speaking of prescription Vitamin D

I'm curious, for those who do get the prescription Vitamin D, what is it called?  I'm wondering if it's the same thing I've been taking since I was 6 years old for my hypoparathyroidism. What I take is considered a "synthetic Vitamin D analog".  I've had one doctor tell me I shouldn't need to take that AND a Vitamin D pill.... but ONLY one doctor, so I stopped seeing him.  Afterall, I've been taking these pills for 25 years.

My prescription of Vitamin D just says vitamin D on the label.  Although it is 1.25 mg

Jilly, I'm old but still not so old that I can't tell my age! LMAO

My prescription is called RocalTrol or Calcitriol. I think it's different than Vitamin D. Which was quite apparent when I ran out 2 days ago and felt like CRAP until I got them today. Even though I was still taking regular Vitamin D.
