I've already got my outfit ready, though I'm afraid I'm going to look like a Baltimore Street hon..and not just a Plunging Hon...lol...

My team The Plunging Hons (from the Cafe Hon) have raised 3,900 dollars for the Special Olympics for the Polar Bear Plunge at Sandy Point Park on Saturday!!! We are seriously awesome!! "The change we seek begins with each of us," says our new president in his consistent messages about personal responsibility and helping others. If everyone put forth the little effort that it takes to contribute to the needs of another, this world would be so different. So, thank you to each of you for your contributions to the needs of Maryland's intellectually-challenged citizens. Know that your effort is changing someone else's life.

INFO ABOUT SATURDAY:A few of our team mates have so graciously allowed us to use their Raven's RV on Saturday. We have a parking spot in the Parking lot right near the Boat Launch in this map: http://www.dnr.state.md.us/publiclands/southern/sandypointma p.html (next to Mezick Pond at the bottom)We are parking with the chartered busses and will have a tailgate spread.

PARKINGTHIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO PARK: http://plungemd.com/parking_and_directions_aaccd.shtmlThe shuttle will bring you to the lot right in front of where the RV will be. Last year there was virtually NO WAIT for the shuttle in or out of the park. It was actually surprisingly easy to get there.

CONTESTS TO WIN A FREE CRUISERita, Heidi and Eliana are competing in Hypothermic Hon Contest in the afternoon so we will be plunging as a team at 3:00p! There are also 2 costume contests and a Miss Polar Bear Plunge Contest.
