I stayed home a little later than I should have, to see this. I'm recording it also, but I just couldn't help myself. I wanted to see it live. Thank God for change! It is very exciting that we can finally get beyond race, and elect an African American as President. I just cannot imagine how it took our country this long to consider the possibility! But, regardless of his race, I believe he is going to bring about GOOD for our country and for the world.
At noon, when Bush was no longer President, I downloaded Hail to the Chief, to be my ringtone.
I'm very excited at the prospects ahead of us. I cannot wait until my family, and the families of all of our troops can look forward to an end to our occupation in Iraq and the return of our loved ones.

I know what you mean Kathy : everyone here at work was trying to use the internet to
witness it : noone was able to get connected to anything though - It's history and we
missed it - guess the internet was overwhelmed . I am sure we can see it later
but it just won't be the same . How was his speech?
