Good morning Tia,

I am glad to hear that your Mom is feeling better.  As for the reasoning of her doctor is because older people that get the flu can get a complication and get worse, so if she is not better within a few days they can check her treat any infection quickly.  Just make sure to keep an eye on her.
Lots of chicken soup & fluids helps to get rid of the flu.

Today I am grateful for:

1. This historical day!

2. That I can truly look into my children and grandchildren's eyes and tell them that they also can be President of the United States!

3.  The new Administration.

Have a great day!

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
Those that mind don't matter, and those that matter don't mind.

Today I'm grateful...

1.  For being able to work from home today and not have to deal with the craziness in DC!!

2.  For feeling better and having gotten in all of my fluids, protein and vits yesterday.

3.  That this is going to be a short week...only 3 days of commuting ...WOOHOO!

Hey!!

I'm glad you're feeling better, too!!!  I think the antibiotic I'm on since my surgery is tearing my stomach a new one, and I've taken it before, so I don't know why it would have this effect on me now, but let me just say that I'm moving my desk into the bathroom!!  YIKES!!!!!

Oh, I bet DC is an ugly sight to behold, people and traffic-wise!!!!  Glad you're home and out of it!!

BTW, I KNEW, just KNEW, as soon as I saw the boxer post on the other board that you'd be all over that one!!!!  LOL!!!!

Hugs,

T

Yeah, you know me too well!!  Some of the information she was getting was erroneous and some was only based on experience with one dog.  The work that I do with Boxer Rescue, and seeing all the boxers turned in because people go for cute and don't know what they are really getting into (this goes for most other breeds as well), turns me into an educator.  I want people to have as much information as they can have in order to make the best decision for them possible.  It's my one crusade!

About your tummy issues w/antibiotics...if you aren't already, you might want to also take something like Prilosec OTC to protect it from any harm that could come from the antibiotics.

Glad you are on the mend!

One of my pet peeves (no pun intended!), is an uneducated, irresponsible pet owner.  Even though we rescued Happy, I did a lot of research on her, asked her foster mom lots of questions, etc.  GRR!!!!

As far as my tummy, yeah, well, I WOULD pick today to bring lemonade and chili!!!  ICK!!!  Not sure why it picked today of all days to act up!!
