Be worthy of imitation

They say imitation is the greatest compliment, but are your actions worthy of imitation? We are all in some setting of leadership. Whether it be as a parent, boss, or friend we should constantly examine the example we are setting for those around us. Are you being a positive role model? Are you treating others in a dignified way? Be a cheerful and diligent worker, parent, and boss to those around you. Children, especially, are like sponges taking in your every action and word--they naturally want to be just like you. So be mindful of your word and deed, you never know who might be watching and silently learning what you are demonstrating.

AMEN, SISTA!!!!

I go to bed every night grateful that KB see me as a positive role model.  They both, but K especially, as she approaches 13, need a positive, strong female role model in their lives, and I strive to provide them with that.

Be it baking brownies for school, attending school functions, helping with softball, or just teaching them our family creed of, "We're family, we help each other," I'm confident that they're getting the message and will grow up to take care of themselves, each other and their families!!!

Thanks for this point to ponder!!

Hugs,

T

You are a wonderful role model for KB and I am glad they have you. They are going to be so grateful when they grow up and have their own families.

I have been thinking that it is important to be a positive role model where ever we are.  Especially here where so many new people are searching for advice, support and a sense of direction.   Many are lurking and soaking in so much and if I could be a of some help in a positive way then I have done my job of paying it forward.

Hugs,

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

you know someone had mentioned to me the other day that I was known as one of the nicest guys they know and am respected by many because of that.  It's a great feeling to know that you CAN be nice and people don't walk all over you for it.

There is a very old saying called the "Golden Rule", to treat others the way you, yourself would like to be treated. This has been my motto for some time. I am not always successful at it. Sometimes, I move so fast I do not realize the effect I may be creating in my wake. However, I do try to stop and practice this every day.

I have no children around to be a role model for :  My niece Jessica has a wonderful
one in her mother and her grandmother ( my mom of course-  her other one is a total
b**ch)  However I do try and be a good friend to everyone and I would like to think
I do well with that.  I also try to " pay it forward" to everyone on the board.
