Wooooo hooooo it is snowing on my anniversary!!!!   Yippeeeee

Is it snowing by you guys? Too bad Little Gino and the baby are sick. Gianna is already begging to go outside and play!  lol
I don't think we will get much but it is looking pretty.

It's snowing here in Fredneck :)  I love to see it snow!  I want 5 feet of it!  but when I'm home please LOL

... WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EST THIS EVENING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN STERLING VIRGINIA HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW... WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EST THIS EVENING.

LOW PRESSURE WILL BRING A PERIOD OF LIGHT SNOW ACROSS THE EASTERN WEST VIRGINIA PANHANDLE... NORTH CENTRAL VIRGINIA... MUCH OF THE MARYLAND AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY THIS EVENING. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF AROUND ONE INCH CAN BE EXPECTED IN WASHINGTON... WITH 1 TO 2 INCHES OF SNOW TO THE NORTH AND WEST OF WASHINGTON INCLUDING ALL OF NORTHERN MARYLAND.

THIS IS THE FIRST MEASURABLE SNOW OF THE SEASON ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA. WITH TEMPERATURES AROUND FREEZING... SNOW WILL BE ABLE TO STICK ON SOME ROADS. THIS WILL CAUSE SLIPPERY AND POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS TRAVEL.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES... AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.

I remember when I lived in NY a winter advisory was posted only where there was a major storm or more than 5 inches. lol

I am ready for a thaw. We had a big snow two weekends ago and it has been in single digits until yesterday. So, the snow is still around. It is a beautiful snow that is heavy and has made the spruce trees beautiful. It's warming but it is not supposed to go above the high 20s all week. I suspect the snow will be around for some time. I've had my yearly dose of snow. -- Tom
