Support Groups important??
Yes there is a Glen Burnie Group with some GREAT people! They meet often. I have not been to one yet myself but I sure plan to soon. You will see them posting. ;o) But there is a few Dena post ops on this board so any time you needed something you would have plenty of support. And I am not sure how that last message came out twice. LOL
I believe that it is very important to acclimate with a group of people that share your goal or have a simular goal. Though my friends and family are very supportive of me and my decision to get WLS they still dont understand everything that I am going through. Its hard to convey what Im feeling to them and for them to totally understand WHY Im feeling that way...
I do go to a monthly support group. The people in that group may not be fully accepted on this board, due to various conflicts of personal interest (thats another drama filled petty story for another day), but they have helped me tremendously with my day to day WLS questions, problems and have been beyond supportive to me. There becomes at some point a bond with each other...Friendships are made..

You are so right. Sometimes people just like to stir the pot. Which is really not necessary but what can you do just avoiid it. LOL
I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
Those that mind don't matter, and those that matter don't mind.
