Canceled Surgery

Have a good cry ; let it all out then march forward like everyone else has said :  Yes it sucks
big time :  Maybe after the iron comes back up someone else will have to cancel and you
can take their spot:  It would only be fair for the Dr. to put you at the top of the list.

Take care and do not lose faith:  This will happen for you.

I know there are no words that can make you feel better, but your determination got you this far.  Don't give up.  Everything comes in its own time and your time will come.  Keep your head up!!!

Candie, this is heart breaking I know, I was there to, cancelled at about 6 days out.  Get your new labs and in the mean time you might want to call Christine and just let her know how heart broken you are and anxious for a new date.  They do some times make special arrangements to fit you in or look for another cancellation.  In the mean time I'll keep you in my thoughts too.

I know you have already waited so long so I am sure this is a huge dissapointment. But like a previous post said everything happens for a reason and DEF better to be safe than sorry. Best wishes in getting your new date!

If your iron levels are still low ask him for Replevia (sp). I am anemic and Dr. Von Rueden gives me a prescription for the iron. He told me it is better asorbed than OTC iron pills. He had me begin taking it prior to my surgery and I still take it. The pills are large so I have to cut them into many small pieces or crush them now.

Thanks Danielle. I will be taking ferrous Sulfate 3 times a day. i asked if I should get a shot of iron but my doc doesn't think that is necessary.
