Canceled Surgery

Just wanted you all to know that my surgery was canceled today because my lab results showed I had low iron. I asked Dr. Schweitzer if he could wait until Friday but he said he couldn't because he could not book someone last minute in that slot if my lab results I took today came back bad again. I was on my cycle last week that's why i think they came back like they did. He wants me to retake labs again in  a month and then schedule. He's already booking 2 months out so I don't know when i will get a date. Just my update. I've been crying all day, because I was only 6 days away. Hopefully everything will work out for the best.

Oh I'm so sorry Candie!  I know it sucks but it's better to be safe than sorry! I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!  Keep us posted.

OMG, Candie, I am so sorry! Did they say if there was anything you could do to get your iron levels up? I'll think good thoughts for you so things work out. Hang in there and take care.

So sorry to hear it!  I do believe everything happens for a reason, though.  Be patient and everything will work out.  Meanwhile, it's o.k. to cry.

Hang in there sweetheart. I was bumped the first time too also for low iron. You will get back on that O.R board just stay focused. (((((Hugs)))))))

That totally stinks big time!!! There are no words I can say to make you feel better except we are all here for you!!!

I'm sorry to hear that your surgery was cancelled. Just know that everything happens for a reason and right now was probably not the best time for you to have surgery. I do hope that everything works out for you. If you need to talk, you know I'm here for you.

Oh Candie, I know how disappointing (understatement) this is. I too had a delay after getting insurance approval. I had to wait 3 months for something on my colon to heal. I felt so bad when this happened. I felt like I was being sabbotaged. In the end it did all work out for me and it will for you too. It just does not feel like it right now. Go ahead and let it out. Then march forward and do what you need to do to set things right again. We are here for you!
