I'm well, thanks!  Getting back into the swing of things.  I'm down TWENTY pounds from having Lacie...I only gained ten and I'm in my pre-prego jeans WOOT!  Lacie goes for her 1 month appt tomorrow, Kylie is back in gymnastics after the holiday break, I get a fill on the 29th, and I'm exhausted. Otherwise, I healed up quickly and had no complications other than an awful itchy tummy from my c-section being under that damned panni!  I'll get it all documented when I see my OB.  Can't hurt if it helps get plastics done later on down the road right?  I'm trying to get back into OH, but my computer time is random and short lived right now.  By the time I get done household things and working with Kylie, nursing Lacie, taking care of me, I get to check email and read a few posts.  It'll settle down!

Revised to VSG (6/11/09) weighing 253...

How funny that you brought this up Aaron. Just the other day my son who is 18 and 6'2" asks me "so mom will this surgery help you be taller because you seem a little shorter, maybe it's all that weight holding you down" You know I wanted to punch him and laugh at the same time. I just said maybe or maybe it's just you out growing me?" Duh. But I have to tell him this tomorrow. That's 2 funny but it does make sense that it would compress your spine. I have 2 herniated discs in my back and they've only gotten worse because of the weight. I'm happy at 5'8" so I'm hoping I don't get any taller. thanks for the laugh. And love the new avatar.

Thanks Candie!  I really hope that this helps your back.  I was just realizing the other day that I no longer have foot and hip pains just from standing.  I swear I could just stand all day  LOL

I bet you do get "taller". With all that weight before surgery, I'm sure your posture wasn't the greatest (like mine). Plus, like everyone said with compression of the spine. One of the main reasons I want to have WLS is to get some of the pressure off of my poor spine and hopefully alleviate some pain!

bad posture was a given.....every time I would stand I would have to bend over and rest my arms on something.  Now I don't do that anymore.

Hi Honey,

I just wanted to let you know that I love your new avatar pic!

I didn't grow at all but I did notice that when my posture was a lot better and that made me look a tad taller.

If you did grow a bit than that is good baby!

Hugs.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
