Nauseous

It seems that no matter what I eat for breakfast, I am always nauseous after I eat. All it takes is a few bites of food and my stomach twists and turns.

Is this normal? I'm 3 months out.

what are you eating? are you chewing alot. I am assuming when you eat later in the day you do not have this problem. it's probably not normal. you may have a stomach issue. i had to take acid reducers. are you on any of those?

I take Previcid... but not until after I eat.

I struggle with morning nausea myself. I find that if I am not hydrated enough thats when its the worst.

I sometimes have to make sure I drink at least 20 oz of water before I put anything in my pouch or it gets very grumpy!

Hmm... I'll have to try that. Although that's one of my issues. I don't drink enough. Never did.

my surgeon just recently told me, the more dehydrated you are the worse the nausea will get. So far I have found this to be very true!

I felt the same early out if I ate eggs it just didn't sit right with my pouch.
What are you eating? If you have a protein drink does it happen too?

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

I don't use the protein drinks. If I find I am not getting enough protein in a day, then I'll supplement with a liquid protein in the evening. Its 2 Tablespoons of nastiness that works better for me then blending does.

It doesn't really matter what I eat.. eggs, cheese, oatmeal, pudding; it all makes me queasy.

I should have brought this up with my Dr. last night but sometimes he's difficult to talk to without feeling ridiculed.  The conversation I had with him regarding my depression did not go well at all.

I am sorry is that your surgeon or PCP?  I would call the surgeon and ask for advice.
If your pcp is not easy to talk to then you need a new doctor.

I am sorry you are going through all that with your MD it shouldn't be that way.
((((hugs)))

Agreed, however it was the surgeon. I know he is good at what he does, but I seem to leave the office feeling on edge and wishing there was better communication.
