OT - Housing Help in DC, Child at Children's
I know you guys are the best, so maybe you can help a co-worker with this. I just received an e-mail from our CEO and a co-worker's daughter just gave birth. Evidently there are some complications and they are transferring the baby to Children's Hospital in Washington, DC. They are in need of somewhere to stay in the meantime. Can anyone tell me where they can find a reasonable place to stay? Do you know if Children's Hospital can help them with this?

When we believe, all things are possible!
My son was born a few years ago with some pretty bad complications. We found out through the social workers in the NICU about the Ronald McDonald house. We used them for 2 weeks until our son came off the heart and lung bypass machine he was on. I think it was $15 a night if you could afford it or it was free is you couldn't. I am aware that there is one near Children's Hospital (although, our son was at U of MD and Hopkins). Tell them to go straight to the NICU social worker.
They are in my prayers.

Is it the DC childrens hospital or Hospital for sick children in DC? Both will be able to have a social worker appointed to the family and give them info on how to stay at the Ronald McDonald house. They can stay bedside and even take showers right at the hospital but if they wanted to rest in the area a Ronald McDonald house would be best honey. I hope the baby is okay. My baby boy spent 8 mos in one of those places. Its nothing like home at all. ;o(
