HI Everyone-
Thanks so much for the well wishes. I went in for surgery yesterday around 1:15ish and was in recovery by 3.  I was determined to go home and was released around 7:30pm.  I am very sore in my stomach but am doing better than I thought I would be. All in all...I feel great and excited!!!  Again...thanks so much for all your support and well wishes!!

Welcome Aboard Kate!  Take it easy!  :)

Who was your doc and hospital?

And don't ever hesitate to pop online and ask any questions you may have.....a stupid question is one that wasn't asked.  Okay?!

Wasn't Dr. Singh awesome!  I was up and around minutes after getting up to the 4th floor - I almost did go home that night, but the Xray people thought I had some "blockage" during the contrast - duh!  there's supposed to be a slow down!  Anyway - I stayed overnight, and one of the doctors claims to have called Dr. Singh to make sure I was his patient or actually operated on.  It coulda been candid camera for all we know!  LOL

I'm feeling great and have no complaints - other than, watch out for the watery #2 stuff next few days - I think mine came from the lemon swabs.......

Jackie R. is another Dr. Singh patient she got banded the 30th - so if you want to follow someone in between 12/16 and your date, she's a great one to follow too!  And I'm not an expert on the lapband YET....but this site has the greatest resources.

Oh!  and allow yourself to burp (you'll hear it coming, and then you'll feel the air coming up)- and when you do your breathing exercises, put a pillow in your lap, you might feel like you need to cough, and hugging that pillow will help the cough easier.

Oh and yes, we get that gurgle - that sound like a kitchen sink draining after we've had our liquids.  Only lasts about a week or two.

I'm so glad for you - and again WELCOME ABOARD!
