3 THINGS FOR MONDAY!!!

Good morning and Happy New Year!!!!!  I hope everyone had a happy and safe NYE!!!  Ours was relatively quiet - we did have a special dinner, but Mom was sick, K is STILL sick with her pneumonia, and so we didn't do a whole lot over the last couple of days.  We did manage to see the train garden at the Wise Avenue VFC in Dundalk - spectacular as always!!!  Note to Dusty:  They had an MSP helicopter replica, complete with a little memorial to the last crew we lost, including Bunker!!

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  A new year - A new chance to right wrongs and forge ahead.  Without a doubt, I'll make mistakes this year, but there's always the opportunity to correct them.  I have some regrets from last year, including allowing some people into my life who brought me nothing but heartache, and not giving 110% at my job, but I TRY to eke some positive out of everything!!  I look forward to a fresh start!!!

2.  Light traffic - Not sure if folks are still on vacay, but traffic was manageable this a.m.!!

3.  Great sales - I got a $450 comforter on Friday at Penney's for less than 1/4 of that!!!!!  I've been looking for YEARS for just the right one and it was just right there in front of us when we walked in!!  Now, to get my bedroom painted, etc.  Anyone's hubby or SO do painting for a living or as a hobby and want to make some extra $$?  Let me know!!

Have a great day everyone!!!

Good Morning

Sorry K and your Mom are not any better

As for me I have not felt any pain this AM so I have not taken any of the pain meds since
around 12:00 pm yesterday  -  and don't worry I am not going to stop trying to find the source.

1.  THE RAVENS WON!!!!  SO I KNOW WHERE I WILL BE 4:30 THIS SATURDAY
PLANTED RIGHT ON MY COUCH WITH DAD SITTING WITH ME ( MAYBE EVEN MOM)

2.  That my sister and brother in law came down yesterday and put away the outdoor
Christmas decorations - and even took the trash down to the curb since I was
feeling a bit of pain.

3.  for my friends and family who have given support , love and cared for me
( and yes nagged a little LOL) this past week while I have been dealing
with the "unknown" pain and its source.

PS  if you don't find anyone to paint your bedroom by Wens there is  a guy on

my bowling league who does painting on the side:  I'll get you his #

Glad your pain is non-existent for now!!!  I KNOW you'll stay on top of that, because YOU know the consequences!!

I'm SO ready for ALL of our decorations to come down now.  But....I know my Mom, and I know they probably won't come down for about 3 more weeks, at least inside.  SIGH.

I'm in no hurry to have the painting done, probably not till the spring, but yes, get a number for me, please!!!

Overall, the holidays were very good. Somehow it always feels a little strange getting back to the routine in January.

I am sorry to hear the family is still sick. I was at my PCP for a routine visit on Friday and she said there have been a variety of viruses going around. The flu has not even hit yet! A number of my freinds and family have been stricken over the holidays. I am hoping it stays away from me!

I never did get my holiday cards out. I am thinking about some alternatives. We will see what happens.

Today I am grateful that....

1 - As much as I like being off, I really am happy to get back to my routine. I was sloppy over the holidays and I will feel better as I get things back to normal.

2 - For not killing myself. I fell in a restaurant last week and managed only to bruise my pride. I kept waiting for the bruises to come out, but they never did! I was lucky that I did not fall on my bad side. Geesh - I need to slow down, I think.

3 - The feeling of a fresh start that the New Year brings! I agree that there is something about the New Year that is revitalizing and mtivating. It is a godo thing!

Hey Deb!!!

You had a really, really busy holiday season, so I bet it does feel weird coming back to the routine of work!!

I bought some New Year's cards the other day - 75% off!!!  I'm actually going to ship them to another board friend of mine who works for the military in Aghanistan so she can share them with the troops.

OMG!!!  I'm so glad you weren't seriously hurt!!  I'm sure your pride was, though - glad there are no visible bruises!!!

Gentle hugs,

Tia

Hey Tia,

Hope you had a good holiday. Mine was a little tough. I am pretty much healed up from my last surgery which is great but then I got a large sore right near my surgery site and for a couple days I was in ALOT  of pain. I couldn't even sit on it. Even walking hurt. Yesterday and today have been much better. I had to cancel on you guys for bingo cuz of the pain :( I see my surgeon on wednesday and am going to ask if he has any suggestions for what I should do about these sores.

1. i am not in alot of pain today!

2. the holidays are over!!!

3. little anxious today but not too bad. should have stuff to do at work today so that will help.

Jeez, Nic!!!!  I didn't make it to bingo, either, I had a bunch of tapes that needed to get done, and even after typing Saturday night and most of the day yesterday, they're STILL not done.  SIGH.

I hope your doctor is able to give you some relief - you've definitely suffered more than your share of pain!!!

Keep me posted!

Hugs,

Tia

Happy New Year to Everyone!!

Today I am grateful that:

1.  The Holidays are over, I love it all each year but all the hustle and bustle just leaves me exhausted!

2.  That all of the crap (cookies,  cakes and fudge and candy) is all out of the house.

3.  I am back into my routine today after a long period of bad choices, I am eating healthy and have my gym gear in tow and sucking on this water.

Have a great Monday!!!!

Hi Tia,

I am sory that K and Mom is still sick. I hope they get to feeling better soon.
Little Gino and Gia are sick again and Tara is miserable still pregnant and very sick with a cold. She has been having lots of braxton hicks but then they slow down. She had an appointment to see the OB tomorrow but she called because she is feeling awful so I will take her in after I am done with LG's speech therapy.

Today I am thankful for:

1. That it is a new year and I can not wait for a better year to follow.

2. That we have been blessed by wonderful friends and we thank God for them everday!

3. My husband's scale has been moving again and he feels better about that. He has 36 pounds to go to reach goal!

Have a great day everyone!

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
