Yes my pain and numbness is minimal if not gone. It was caused by compression on my spine, which has several severely degenerated discs. Without the weight on my spine, the pressure is gone and no pain. That is the first reason I was referred to WLS by the spinal surgeon. He said without the "excess load" on my frame my pain would probably not require spinal surgery at all. He actually said load a few times during the consult and I had to ask him to please stop saying it. I was in denial that I was a WLS candidate at thattime and when i asked him if he thought I would be a candidate he said, "Oh definitely, at your size, yes!!". Sheesh, he was abrupt, then tiny little petite man that he was.
