3 THINGS FOR MONDAY!!!!

Good morning everyone!!!!  Back to work - ICK!!!  But.....as so many have said, I'm fortunate to have a job to come back to!!  It looks like everyone had a good Christmas!!  We did, too, and no one seemed any worse off because there were less presents.  Actually, it was a relief to have less mess, too!!!

So today, I'm grateful for:

1.  Office windows - OMG!!  Some moron evidently got cold last week, left the boiler running at full blast, and it's a balmy 92.5 degrees in here!!!!  We've got heat AND a/c running simultaneously AND all the windows open!!!  This is NUTS!!!!

2.  Starbucks gift cards - I got about $100 worth of them!  That should keep me for about a week!!!  LOL!!!

3.  A short work week.  Even though Friday is without pay (again), I'm happy to have the time off.

4.  I received an invite out for NYE.  An old kind-of flame/friend called and asked if I wanted to get together with him on Wednesday.  Although I might meet him for an early dinner, I have NO intention of hanging around with him until midnight!!!  I'm happy to have him in my life as a friend, but there is NO way in hell I'm entertaining the thought of him being anything more than that.  Unfortunately, he seems to like alcohol more than a sustaining relationship, so he can have it.  It's sad, too, because he's smart, funny, cute, etc. - and very, very lonely.  SIGH.

So that's it for me!!  Hope everyone has a great day!!!

Hugs,

Tia

Good Morning All,

Although I have not been posting much, I have been peeking in from time to time. I am glad to see that everyone seems to be having a nice holiday season. I am off work all this week, but will continue to be busy in other ways. My immediate family Christmas is today. Cooking is underway and I have more to do. I am functioning on 2 1/2 hours sleep. They will arrive around 2PM today. I have dinner plans tomorrow night and of course Wednesday is New Year's Eve.

Today, I am glad...

1 - For my time with my family. Although, the preaprations take quite a lot out of me, the actual experience of the day is what means the most. It is usually a comfortable day. We don't rush anything and just enjoy hanging out together. I truly enjoy this time with them. I am looking forward to it.

2 - That my OH family has been enjoying their holidays too!

3 - That the sun is shining. We have not had a lot of that recently!

Have a good day!

Hi Deb!!!

Have you stopped at all to relax???  Holy moley!!!  I'm glad you're having fun with your family, though - and yes, all the prep is usually worth it!!  Just take some time for yourself, though, okay?

Tia

Hey Jilly!!!

I'm so glad to see you feel up to posting!!  I know the after-wls hormones can be a ***** - and turn you into one, too!!!  Keep in mind that it WILL get better, but if it doesn't, there is help available - both through therapy and/or meds.  I think most of us women have had the hormonal monster raise its ugly head!!!  Hang in there!!!  And call me if you need to rant, rave, cry, scream, etc.  Do everything you can to keep yourself hydrated - dehydration can make you so out of whack!!!

Glad you and the family had a wonderful Christmas!!!  I see nothing but a fabu 2009 for you!!!!

Hugs,

Tia

Hey there. Yeah I have def hit the cranky phase. I was giving Mike hell for a few days. Anything he made for me I would toss back at him. LOL It was like trying to force feed a baby! LOL I HATE the taste of that Whey and I was in major need of protein. So he thought up something neat.

I use to LOOOOOVE going to Brusters ice cream place to get a Strawberry Banana smoothie. So he got me banana whey and blends it with 4 frozen strawberries, water, half a banana, 3 ice cubes and a tsp of Splenda. When it is done blending I cant taste or smell the whey. He makes me an 8oz cup with 20-30 grams of protein depending on if he adds a scoop or a scoop and a half. It takes me about 20 min to get it all in but its a nice refreshing way to FINALLY get in my PROTEIN! LOL

We did have a nice Christmas. We didnt make it to over commercialized in our home because we want our kids to know the real reason for the season.  And trust me they do ;o)

Sweetie, you'd better hide that Mikey!!!  I'm telling ya, you have a gem in him!!!  And I know you know it!!!!!

There are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO many men out there who lie, cheat, abuse substances, etc., that to find one who does all that he does is a miracle!!!  LOL!!!!!  And since I know how hormonal you are right now, that he puts up with that, too is a major plus!!!

Trust me, it'll all level out eventually.  Glad he found a way for you to not taste the protein powder - right there with ya - !!!

Hugs,

Yup I think I have sat back and realized more and more the last few weeks just how very LUCKY I am to have him. He takes such amazing care of me. And he never complains. Nope he has never been into drugs or drinking and he doesnt even take pain meds if he gets them. He is an all around good guy. THANK GOD! LOL ;o)

((( Tia )))

Glad you had a nice Christmas.   Our Christmas day was extremely pleasant.   Nice dinner and good company (my sister & her family) and a walk around downtown to settle dinner afterwards.

1) I'll go with a short week first.   I have plenty to do to keep me busy, but I would really rather be home this week!   I'm going to make the most of being off for 4 days come Thursday (famous last words ... lol ).

2) did I mention short week ??

3) and yet again a short week .. lol

Seriously, we have been trying to get things done around the house and get things in shape to have the two full baths and the powder room completely redone, as well as pull out the carpet and have new flooring put down and then go from there with windows, doors, etc.  So we are trying to keep busy in the house as well as have some fun time too!

I've got our New Year's Eve planned.   Bought two prime rib 'steaks' to do on the grill and baking taters and salad and we will be all set.   I think I'll be eating prime rib and tater into next week!  Also have a bottle of Childress bubbly in the fridge, if we remember to open it.

Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

((( Moie )))

I read of your fabu gift from Mr. Mo - tell him he did good!!  I'm so proud of him!!  I know that new camera just made your day!!

Sounds like the Mo-house is going to be topsy-turvy for a while!!  Here's to getting it done and still having hair left!!!

Have a great day!
