So....how bad WAS it??

Your holiday eating, I mean?  I haven't done the Feed Bag in a while - mainly because I thought no one, including me at times, would want to post what they ate!!!

But I'll start it again next Monday, so get ready!!!

So, really, how bad WAS it?  Did you eat till you got sick? Did you try alcohol for the first time post-op?  Did you RNY folks dump?  Did any of you suffer stuck food syndrome?

Or.............did you stick to your plan?  C'mon, fess up!!!

Mine actually wasn't too bad.  Although I did have some dark chocolate from Rheb's and I did have cookies, it was NOWHERE near what it had been in the past.  Truthfully, other than the Rheb's, I could take or leave any of it.  However, after being surrounded by and preparing so much carb-laden food, I was craving salad!!!  So on Friday, I stopped at the grocery store and made one at the salad bar!!!  YUM-O!!!!

I couldn't drink any wine since I'm still on meds for the dental issues, so no problems there.  WAAAHH!!!

Okay, it's your turn!!!

Ok I'll fess up :  My eating sucked but I payed the price trust  me.

Had a couple pieces of caramel candy ( ok ok a couple pieces a day)
Had some stuck food issues as well :  Out of 5 days I was sick  four
of them .

My New Years resolution is too get back to basics and drop at least another
40 Lbs.  would be happier with 80 but 40 seems a more obtainable goal.

I plan on using the Feed Bag for help so please start posting that again.

Well, since I know you won't be going to the doctor's any time soon, describe the pain.  Gallbladder issues can present themselves in a variety of ways.

So....let's see.....it'll be what? another six months before you actually DO something about it????

Trust me If this keeps up I will be at my PCP or Dr Mo's office very quickly -
Like I said I overdid the sugar a bit so I am going to behave myself for a couple days and
see if it passes:  it could have been a bug for all I know :  Yesterday I had a good dinner
at my brothers house and thank God I have not been sick since Saturday night.

I have gotten in 38 grams of protein so far today I am going to make a concious
effort to watch how much I am taking in.

As far as the pain Lower right abdomen radiating toward the back which is
what I  have found while researching on the net.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.  Keep in mind that overdoing the sugar wouldn't necessarily cause you "pain," more like discomfort - shakiness, sweats, nausea.  But yes, the pain you're describing SOUNDS like a gallbladder attack.  Gallbladder attacks GENERALLY occur after you consume too much fat.

Keep in mind, too, that getting food stuck also mimics gallbladder pain.  The first time I got something stuck, I thought it was my gallbladder - which would've been strange, since mine's been gone since 1990!!!!  Someone described food stuck pain as a "food induced heart attack!"

So stay on top of this.  Don't make me get emails from people who are concerned that you're not taking care of yourself!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted deviled eggs but could not eat that and I wanted stuffing but didnt have that either. I did have a bite of baked beans. YUM! I had leftovers all weekend. LOL

Today I had plain oatmeal for breakfast with butter and splenda. YUMM!!
Ice tea and water

Hey Jilly!!!

You know, the first thing I craved was salad!!!  And I was SOOOOOOO ecstatic to discover that it broke down into almost nothing, making it very easy to eat.  It even makes eating the protein in the salad (chicken, fish, shrimp, etc.), go down easier.

So why CAN'T you have deviled eggs yet?  It seems to me that if you had a bite or two of some of the other things, you should've been able to do them.

Do you find that once you're full, you can't stand the smell of food?  It's a weird RNY thing, I think!!!
