Like it, love it or use it as a doorstop?

I actually DO like it, just a little of course, and I prefer the dark as opposed to the light.  Something about red and green cherries that just gets my Christmas mojo working!!!!  LOL!!!!

So..............................DO you????

You know, I don't think I've ever actually tried fruitcake....so I can't say!!  But I don't think green cherries would get me going..

I used to love it. Haven't had any post-op - so I don't know.

You do know that there is only one Fruitcake. It was baked in 1843 and has been regifted since then.

Happy Christmas!!

I like fruitcake, especially the one that I used to make. It does not have any of that weird citron type fruit in it. It only has cherries (red), pecans, raisins and mini choc. chips. The fruit and nuts are soaked in bourbon first. Once it is all made, the key to eating it , is to slice it very thin. I have not tried this since surgery and so many people are anti fruitcake, that I do not make it much any  more.

My mother used to always make a fruit cake at Christmas.   I can remember even back 'when' the ingredients (the various candied fruits and nuts, etc) cost a small fortune!!!  I am thinking there was also brandy involved, but I might be wrong on that score!   I do know that the batter was just enough to keep the fruit and nuts together!

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!
