I know what you mean about January Birthdays LOL
My nephew , his wife and daughter all have birthdays in January
My nieces birthday is Dec. 29th so she too needs a birthday gift-
but that was easy this year- I won a Ravens basket with some
haircare products, a ravens flag and a couple other Ravens items
in a Raffle and I decided to give it too Katy as her birthday gift .

Tia, I am so sorry that you continue to suffer with the tooth pain. You have truly had more than your share of that this year! Hopefully, it will subside sufficiently so that you can enjoy your holiday.

I can't wait to hear how Christmas Day unfolds!

((( DEB )))

Thanks for the sympathy!!!  Yeah, it's been a rocky end to the year, but I'm fortunate to have my 401K from which to pull funds.  If I had to rely on anything else to pay for all the dental work, I'd probably be walking around looking like I live in....well.......in ESSEX!!!!  LOL!!!!  And I can say that since I do!!!!

Here's hoping we can catch up after the New Year!!

Love you!!

Tia

Hi all

Haven't been the best in posting or being active on the board but will work on changing that in 2009.  I have been going through alot of stuff personally and my head has not always been in the right place but am working on it.  Considering all that is going on I felt what better time to count my blessing and be thankful for at least three things.

1- My beautiful grandchildren they are so precious and I will have them over for a sleep over on saturday, while it will be challenging I know I will enjoy it!!

2- My children- at least two of them anyway  I love the other one but he is indeed a work in progress at 26!  They have been very supportive of me and without them I would not have gotten through to this point

3- My job and great co-workers and finally got my new office it is peaceful and has a great view!!  My bosses are great also, which not too many people can say!

Hope everyone enjoys the holidays!! Hugs to all

Terri

Hey there, Terri!!!

I know things have been a struggle for you this year, and I'm glad to see you back on here.  Regardless of what's going on in your life, this board's always gonna be here when you need us!

I KNOW you have to look at last Christmas and stare in amazement at the person in the mirror!!  You've done such a good job and while I know it's an ongoing process, you gave yourself the best gift when you chose wls.  I know it's hard to concentrate on eating right and drinking the gallons of water, but considering all that's going on in your life, I'd say you've done alright!!!!

Enjoy the slumber(less) party with the grands!!  And relax and enjoy yourself!

Happy Holidays,

Tia

I can't WAIT to hear of your family's reaction!!!!  It's gonna be commercial-worthy, that's for sure!!!

So....colors!!!  I need to hear what colors you chose for the new house!!!  I was thinking about you, swooning over bath towels in Penney's yesterday!!!  LOL!!!!

I'm on the road by 6 am tomorrow.  Should put me at their house by 11 or noon......I'm telling you....I think everyone's about to bust with anticipation at home LOL

Ok.....exterior colors:

the siding is going to be a couple shades darker than an almond color
the shutters are navy blue
the front door will be a navy/grey mix door
eaves and downspouting of course are white

Interior:

In the kitchen, I chose cabinets that were a couple shades darker than the light oak color with bruched nickel knobs.
I have all black appliances
The counter top is a marble laminate.....and it's black with greyish blue specs in it

the banisters on all the stairs will be stained to match the kitchen cabinets

In the bathrooms, I chose the oak cabinets with chrome knobs and the vanity tops are real marble white on white (so it's white marble with white streaks in it.

My next step is to meet with the flooring people since they are independent from the contractor.
