Is the worst Christmas present you ever received?  Was it ugly, bizarre, no thought behind it - what?

I've been fortunate to have never really gotten anything horrible - but I have received some gifts that made me **** my head to the side with that puppy dog look on my face that says, "Huh???"

I almost spit Diet Coke across the room last night when my brother was telling me that another mailman friend of his received, from a little old couple on his route, are you ready for this???  You can't be, because even I didn't see it coming!!!

A BLOCK OF RICHFOOD BRAND CREAM CHEESE!!!!!

I swear to God, wrapped and everything!!!!!  LMAO!!  Another friend of his received a little wooden box made out of popsicle sticks made by a little old lady at a senior center.  In the box?  Easter Hersey Kisses!!!!

When my brother and his ex were first married, her parents gave him "Freddy the Frog's Marching Band!!"  It was a wind-up bunch of frogs that played "When the Saints Go Marching In!"  I had a lot of fun with that, and we reused the box it came in for a couple of Christmases after that!!!!  Now, we always wonder who's going to get the "Freddy" box!!!  LOL!!!

So.....c'mon, share, what's your worst gift ever received?

hmmmmmmm......I think the strangest thing I have received which may not be strange to other people is a bag of potpourri and a candle that all smell like roses.  UGH.....it came from my sister and I'm sure she had no idea what to get me LOL.

I can't say I have ever received a horrible gift. I have received gifts that were awkward because they simply were not me, or I could not wear them because of my size. I love jewelry and people would buy me neckalaces or bracelets that were too short for me. That is no longer a problem. In fact since WLS, I have re-discovered these gifts all over again.

I have a cousin who is a very skilled knitter. Each Christmas one of the gifts she gives is something she handcrafted. One Christmas she surprised me by picking me to be the recipient of one of her creations. It was a sweater. She guessed at the size. It was a little too snug around me and the sleeves were way to long (she measured a tall man and used the same length). It was very patriotic. It has sections that were white stars on a blue background and other sections that were red and white stripes. It is not the kind of thing you can wear anytime or anywhere. I stil lhave it, but have never worn it. Another Christmas she knitted me the most beautiful throw. I love it! It is so thick and warm and blends with any decor.

Ok, the worst Christmas gift I ever received was an ugly stained glass turtle lamp.  Not sure what my friend was thinking when she picked it out, because it's so not me lol.  As I opened it and saw what it was, I was dumb founded, and all I could say  was "OH cool, thank you".  LOL!!  That lamp was accidentally broken by one of my nephews lol!

My ex-husband bought me a Sega Genesis one year for Christmas.  Now, you have to understand, he basically spent every dime we made on either Magic the Gathering Cards, paintballs or video games....and we constantly fought about it.  So, that's all he got me for Christmas, was a Sega Genesis....I didn't have hardly enough money to get my kids anything that year...but he got his Sega Genesis....I just sat under the tree and cried...then gathered up the kids and left him there...drove 200 miles south to go have the rest of my Christmas with my family....
