All everyone, just wanted to know what tests his office runs at the pre-op appointment. Thanks.

I am curious to see the responses to this question. I was wondering the same thing. My pre-op appt. is on Jan. 12th.

Hi Candie,

I would think you can find that out by calling his office, that way you'd know for sure that the answers you may get here.. that no one has forgotten any.

Also, I would imagine that at different times the criteria changes for what is required due to when the surgery was done as well as different insurance companies.

Just my two cents worth.

Merry Christmas,
Ren

Hi Candie,

The only appointment I had with his office pre-operatively was the initial consult.  Everything else was done by my Primary Care Physician.  That included an EKG, physical, blood work, and a chest x-ray.

Hope that helps,
Heather

I just spoke with Christine at Dr. Schweitzer's office this week.   She told me I only have to come back to see him if I had questions or a significant change in medical history.  I have to do the Anesthesia Evaluation, then go to my PCP for a physical, EKG, blood work, and chest x-ray.

Hope this helps.
