Indoor Pools??

I've been searching for an indoor pool around the Rosedale/White Marsh area. I'd prefer not having to buy a membership to a gym.

My back is always in pain, so I'd like to be able to work out in a pool.  I'd also like to start taking my daughter because she LOVES water.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I am in that area. I am sorry I do not know of any not attached to a gym. I know there is a facilty that a friend of mine used for pool therapy by the Safeway on Belair Rd. I think she said it was also used for pool classes. I can't remember if it is in that office building just North of Safeway or if it is in the shopping center across the street from Safeway. If I learn anything more I will let you know.

The pool that Deb is speaking of should be called "Kids first Swim" and its next to Brick Bodies, across Bel Air Road from Safeway.  I don't know their scheduled.  I signed up for Bally's in White Marsh and they have a pool. Not too bad, they have water aerobics and free swim.  Good Luck.  C!

Hey Lisa!!!

The last time I checked Kids First Swim Center, it was fairly pricey, but it was also new to the area, so maybe their prices have come down in the interim.

Check out Essex Community College, right there on Rossville - they have a pool.

There's also the YMCA at Rossville Boulevard and Lillian Holt Drive.  Not sure of their prices, but I need to check into it for summer daycare for KB, so if I find out anything, I'll let you know!

Take care,

Tia

Tia,

I don't think the YMCA is there anymore on Rossville and Lillian Holt. Pretty sure its the staging area for  all the state highway trucks and equipment that is working on I95 & I695.  Might have to look elsewhere for the summer daycare stuff. Pine Valley  Swim Club on Bucks School House Road is really nice. Great pool area.

Yeah, Kids First Swim Club obviously has Kid's Classes but they have adul****er aerobics 3 nights per week.  I called about classes back in November and they let you either pay monthly ($60.00 for unlimited classes) or you can pay per class (I think it was $6.00-$8.00 per class).  I'm starting the water aerobics classes there in January.
