No Baby THIS week!!!

Okay folks, here's the news.  I had my amnio today around 8:30am and got results back after 5pm.  Lacie's lungs are not mature; therefore, no c-section tomorrow!  So, next Tuesday we try again.  I'll have another amnio Tuesday and if her lungs are ready at that point we'll do the c-section on Wednesday 12/17.  The nice thing about it is *I* get to go the the Ravens/Steelers game this Sunday...WOOHOO!  FYI - in case you are wondering, it's not unusual for a baby's lungs to not be mature enough at 37 weeks, especially if the mother is taking any amount of insulin; which I am just a small bedtime amount for gestational diabetes.  So now...we wait.  This just buys me more time to have everything perfect and completely done and ready.

They don't want me going into labor because of my prior c-section.  Where the scar is I could rupture if I go into labor; not good especially at the game LOL

SHEAH! That wouldnt be a good idea at all. LOL Im so excited for you! I WOULD LOVE ANOTHER>>>AND ANOTHER>>>>AND ANOTHER ETC! LOL I LOVE KIDS! But I had a tubal at age 24 in 2000. MAN! LOL

Did they give you a steroid shot to help Lacie's lungs develop?  That's what they did for my little one. I had a c-section at 37 weeks with her, because I lost too much fluid.

Nope.  When I saw my doc last Thursday I asked her what they'd do if the lungs weren't ready and questioned about the steroid shot at that time.  She said no to the steroids and that they'd just bring me in for another amnio.  The reason you got it and I'm not getting it is probably because of your fluid level making your c-section more of an emergency for you.  Now if I start to go into labor they'd likely do the steroids and then an emergency c-section, but I'm praying I don't have to worry about that.

Hey Heather told me she got a text that Lacie wasnt coming. I would be going crazy having to wait another week but her lungs need to grow. Turn that oven up girl and bake bake bake...........LOL. Cant wait till she comes. What a christmas present she will be....LOL

Been reading that book today and it is interesting. Just got into a few pages but very interesting. I am going to email you thought, I spoke with my doc yesterday and she gave me my info from blood work. I'll email you in the morning since Lacie wont be coming. Didn't want to bother you with it LOL and wasnt sure when you would be able to check email.

You should have an email about the amnio; I emailed everyone I didn't have a cell number for.  Glad you got into the book!  It's definitely informative huh?  I'll look for your email about the bloodwork!  Oh, and I'll be able to use my laptop in the hospital next week.  Floyd's going to leave his air card with me! WOOHOO!

Damn girl if the baby would wait 5 days after the 17th she would be born on my birthday. Anyway we'll be waiting for word.
