I just want to say congratulations on getting your band!!  It seems nasty vitamins are just a way of life in the beginning, I am not a bandster but we have a few that I am sure will help you out when they see the message.  Take care of yourself!!!

Congrats, you new bandster!!!!!!  I agree with Steph, nasty vitamins do seem to be a way of life for a while immediately post-op.  Rest assured, it won't last forever.

I personally prefer the RTD (ready to drink) EAS Advant Edge French Vanilla - use it as a creamer in my coffee or tea.  I know they also make a powder, but I REALLY don't like powders, so I've never tried it.

I've NEVER heard of the band slipping from coughing, but hopefully, Dr. Gandsas's office should be able to allay some of your fears.

Hang in there!!  You just had surgery, you're likely to be uncomfortable for a while, but it WILL get better!!!

Have you tried the liquid vitamins?  They have them at the vitamin shoppe.  They don't taste too good...but at least you swallow and that's it...which is better than having to chew them.  I finally found one that didn't make me feel bad...but it's a chewable...berry flavored...but yes, it does have that chalky consistency...it's from bariatric advantage...just a few suggestions..

Congrats on your surgery and welcome to the board. I am also battling with the chalky tasting vitamins. I really dont like them either. I do the centrum chewable and it has a ctirus taste but the chalky aftertaste is horrible! I know its only for a while longer then I can do a non-chewable so I live the centrum chewable untill then

The EAS vanilla has a good textute. Very light and thin. However for me the protein taste/aftertaste just gagged me. I couldnt do it!

Sorry no advice about the band, I had RNY but congrats on your surgery and welcome again.

Good Morning and ty
I got adkins yesterday pertty good . I broke up centrum silver today into pieces and swollowed it . u can mash urs with applesauce. it goes down better. This is a good site people can share their thoughts. I am cooking baby limas and tasted a little of the juice . The band is a little easier I only weighted 218 so I wanted sleeve but insurance didnt cover it so I took the band. I bought this drink from giant and it tasted like sour milk threw it away. Thanks for welcoming me and we will talk again                                          Pam

Congrats on your surgery.  I'm not a bandster; however, I'm sure you'll get plenty of help.  Have you tried children's vitamins -- you have to take more of those though.
