3 THINGS FOR FRIDAY EVE!!!
Good morning!!!! Hopefully, as we speak, Jilly is being last-minute prepped for her surgery, where she will awaken to find she has NOT been cut (a huge fear of hers), and that she is now, in fact, a LOSER!!!! She's ALWAYS been one of us, though!!! So think good thoughts for Jilly and keep an eye out for Lisa's post telling us everything went great!!!
I see that Governor O'Malley has decided to help the budget out by punishing State employees. He's "giving" us the day after Christmas and the day after New Year's off....WITHOUT PAY. Whatev!! I was taking those days off anyway - sometimes, but not often, I'd rather have the time than the money, anyway!!!!
Today, I'm grateful for:
1. Lower gas prices - $1.65 - WOO-HOO!!! I was nearly on "E," and it only took $20 to fill the tank. What a relief after paying almost $50 several months ago.
2. I came home to a fully decorated Christmas tree. I'm going to take some pics this weekend and I'll TRY to post them next year. Mom and Dad outdid themselves this year - WITHOUT fighting!!! THAT would explain that star in the sky this time of year!!! LOL!!!!
3. Kids say the funniest things - Yesterday, I picked up my sweet B from school and then picked K up from an after school activity. While waiting for K, B was telling me how excited he is about Christmas - like I didn't know that!! Anyway, I shared with him how *I* used to get so excited on Christmas Eve that I would throw up!!! He laughed, and then confessed, "Tia, I get so excited laying in bed thinking about it that I almost pee myself!!!" I laughed soooo hard and was soooo glad I wasn't driving!!!! He and I have the same sense of humor and he just makes my heart light!!!
4. BIGGER & BETTER THAN ALL THE REST - We learned yesterday that my fave Aunt Sue, Mom's baby sister, who is 54, does NOT have breast cancer!! As Darla said, "PRAISE GOD!" This would've been her 3rd battle with it, after two mastectomies, and Mom and I, along with Sue, of course, have been on pins and needles since we took her for her biopsy last Friday. Thanks to those of you who crossed their fingers and toes for us!!
Additionally, Mom had her 6 month check up with her pulmonologist (he's the doc who found spots on her lungs back in 2003), and she got a clean bill of health for the next 6 months. I am SO glad. While I LOVE this time of year, I'm always walking on eggshells because we've had so much drama/tragedy that I'm afraid to relax sometimes. But all is good!!!
So, I have MUCH for which to be grateful today (and every day)!!!
Hope you have a wonderful Thursday!!
Hugs,
Tia

So glad to hear about your aunt and your mother. luckily both my parents are doing well so I do not have to worry. At least for awhile!
1. MY FOSTER CAT MAY HAVE AN INTERESTED ADOPTER!!! Not sure yet but someone has expressed interest in him. Now all I have to do is seal the deal. Please pray for him. He needs a good home so badly.
2. Paxil CR. I thought I could go off it but then my anxiety reared its ugly head. I am going back on it, trying to find the lowest effective dosage. I think I may be coming out of the woods.
3. Trying something new. I've never been a religious person but felt that I needed a practice of some kind to help me through these tough times. I finally went to a Buddhist meeting in Bel Air and really benefitted from it. I am so glad I finally tried it. I think it might help me find the peace I've always been looking for.

I'm glad you're doing what you need to take care of yourself. You're so good to others that I know it's easy to put yourself last. Please keep up the good work!!!

3. My wonderful husband he is just the most wonderful man in the world and he treats me like a queen and makes me so happy, I am not sure how I got so lucky.

Tia,
I so appreciate what you do for this board and how much effort you put into EVERYBODY! It's clean here, informative, caring, and fun place, but you are always going to have the Haters to deal with so don't ever let them get to you.
Nic,
You girl are doing an awesome job!! And I hate to tell you the training never ends....LOL

Good Morning:
So happy to hear about your aunt yesterday
Today I am grateful for
1. Friends who keep me sane while dealing with my supposed blood clot.
2. That the pain in my leg is gone
3. Christmas lights; saw a ton of them on the way home from bowling last night.
4. Came home to find the Xmas tree up and the lights on - the rest Mom and I will do
sometime over the next couple days.
5. My car CD player: need my daily dose of " LIFE IS GOOD" AND " I HOPE YOU DANCE"

I am so glad for the good news posted here today. May the news continue to be good for all!
I got advance notice of some changes coming at work that will be announced in a meeting later today. The bottom line is that it is going to be extra stressful for me for quite a while. Because of this, I may not be able to post as often as I would like. Please know that you will all be in my thoughts even if I do not get the opportunity to express it. I will still try to keep on top of things as much as I can.
1 - Unexpected surprises - As I mentioned yesterday, I had dinner with my nephew and his fiance last night. it was just so good to see them both. They surprised me with a Birthday gift, which I was not expecting because, my birthday was a while ago and I want them to save money to buy a house, which they are working on. Anyway, what is special about this gift is that it is personalized. It is a bracelet and has a charm that is engraved from both of them. It means so much to me. I love it and will always cheri****
2 - Three days and counting - I have had three strong, consistent, controlled eating days. I need keep this going through the weekend to truly feel that I have gotten past this rough patch. But I feel stronger than I have in a long time.
3 - I fnally got the Christmas Three up at work. I know I am a bit late and I have not even decorated my own house yet! But I should be able to finish the office decorating this week, even if I have to come in this weekend!
have a wonderful day!

Awwww, Deb, you clearly have a special nephson!!!!! I know the bracelet will warm your heart!!
Okay, so just keep in touch with us when you can - and take care of you through all the stresses!!! You don't need to eat when you stress, just pick up the phone and call me!!! I can talk you off the food ledge!!! LOL!!!
I don't decorate my office at work - no one here cares (they're men), and since I'm off after the 19th and don't come bac****il like the 5th of January, there's really no point. HOWEVER, I myself am decorated!!! LOL!!!!! Gotta love the Christmas jewelry!!!
Have a great, controlled eating day!!
