3 things for Hump Day

OK I know for most everyone today is the last day of the workweek but some of us do have
to work Friday:  Walmart is going to restock their sugar shelves and is picking up 20-30 loads
of sugar friday so we will be operating on a normal shift.

Today I am grateful for :

1.  Going to my brothers for dinner tomorrow:  get too see my great nieces who
I have not seen in a couple months -  Even though they live close by its hard to
get too see them often.

2.  going to the "Festival of Trees" Saturday and going too see the movie
"Four Christmases" Saturday night.

3.  Job Security:  while I would love too have off Friday its OK:  Business will
die off after Christmas and I will take a mental Health day when the madness
ends.

So Have a Great day and a safe Holiday everyone.

Today I am grateful for:

1 - That my Uncle continues to recover from surgery. I won't be completly happy until he comes home, but our family is so encouraged and hope that all of the worst is now behind us.

2 - Thanksgiving and all that it means - a the time with family and friends, a time of reflection on the past and the future and what is truly important in this life, an opportunity to step away from the daily stresses and pressures or this world for at least one day. I have so much to be thankful for this year now that a whole new world has been opened to me.

3 - Anticipation of the upcoming holiday season. Even with all of the stresses that come along with it, this is a magical time of year. I look forward to all of the traditions that go into making it a special time with family and friends as well as the spiritual meaning at its core.Yes, times are hard this year and I think everyone has to cut back on the eccesses that can come along with this celebration. Regardless, it will still be special.

Have a wonderful day!

Glad the news about your Uncle is good.  I know how worried you have been.

Oh by the way I heard Matt Stover will be at the fairgrounds friday reading a story and
signing autographs-  thought you nephews would like to see him - I think they said he'll be there
around 5:30.

The love of friends and family

Being happy with who I am and my life

looking forward to our trip tomorrow and the friends we will see.

Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

1. That I have tomorrow off and get to spend it with family and probably will get the rest of my stuff moved! I have alot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving!

2. Job Security, I am with you on this one Darla, while I would like to have off Friday like most other people...in this economy I am *SOOOOOOOOOOOO* thankful to have a job!!

3. Taking Jordan to see Playhouse Disney Live Sat should be very fun for my girl!

4. I have to add a fourth one, while moving is tiring and exhausting I cant imagine doing this 50 lbs ago!! I have noticed I can unload a full truck load of boxes and not be panting out of breath! What a nice little small wow moment :) Oh yeah and I am sleeping sooooooo much better already!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  Here are mine for today:

Today is my last day of work for this week, and it's a short one, we have a company luncheon at 12:00.

Got a holiday bonus today and it was payday.

I actually started shopping last night.  Got a list and the sale papers and I'm sticking too it.

Gotta add a 4th:

Thanks to my supplier that sent me a great big box of wrapping paper, bows, and tape!!!  All this for free.  I can now start wrapping.
That's the great thing about being in purchasing around the holidays.  Your suppliers always send some pretty good gifts.  Usually it's food, but this year, wrapping paper is so much more useful!!!

LOL Lisa I know what you mean about the wrapping paper:  one of my bowling teammates
is in the process of clearing out his home:  His late wife had 5 huge trashbags
full of wrapping paper and bows, gifttags, labels and such.  He gave it too me and Mom took
some to the nursing home where she volunteers -  she also gave 4 friends 8 new rolls each-
I swear his late wife must have had a wrapping paper buying obsession .

Good morning!!!!

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  That I've gotten a lot accomplished these past few days.  I've been up early and running my errands before the rest of the world is even awake!!  Of course, it means by 6 p.m., I'm ready for a nap, but.....!!!  LOL!!!

2.  Dinner tomorrow with family and possibly friends - I've invited a friend of mine to join us.  He probably won't, will tell me he's happy to sit home, but he's got no one and I HATE the thought of anyone being alone on Thanksgiving.  So here's to ALWAYS having a place to go.

3.  My Happy the Mouser!!  LMAO!!  No activity this a.m., not a creature was stirring!!!

I hope everyone has a safe, warm and wonderful holiday.  If you're traveling, please be careful!!!

Hugs,

Tia

LOL - I have to laugh about Happy the mouser and your comment about the roof if she'd
made it up to your room with her "prize"  I'm the same way   I hate mice.

Glad you have gotten a lot done this week - and whats wrong with a nap LOL-
i left work early one day to get a nap before bowling - only problem was I
slept from 4-7:30 and bowling started at 6:30. LOL

Today I'm grateful:

1.  For job security (stealing that from April, I think).  I've been told it's been a very difficult time at work for the past (almost) 8 weeks without me there.  Even though it's a very stressful job and I've been contemplating leaving for some time now, it's comforting to know that they'll do whatever they need to to keep me there (hence the raise/promotion now and another coming up in April).

2.  Have I mentioned being able to add regular foods?  LOL!  I'm making pastaless lasagna tonight, substituting eggplant for noodles.  It's kind of like Eggplant Parm without breading and frying the eggplant...yummmm.

3.  Family and friends.  Can't wait to see all of my sisters and parents at Christmas and my new OH friends in person on December 7th.
