MY LITTLE MOUSER!!!!

Oh, I am SO proud of Happy!!!!  When I came downstairs this a.m., I saw her, head-first between the entertainment center and the hutch.  Her tail was FURIOUSLY wagging, so I knew, I just KNEW it was a mouse!!!  EEK!!  She kept going back and forth, tracking it, her tail wagging the whole time like she was seeing a new toy!!  LOL!!

So I did what any self-respecting 41 going on 5 year old woman would do - "DAAAAAAAAAAAAD!!!!"  So Dad came up, lifted one end of the entertainment center up and before he could do anything, Happy reached in, grabbed the mouse, which was partially stuck to a glue trap, and started running away!!  I'm so glad Dad caught her before she could bring it upstairs, because then we would have had to call the roofer!!!!  LOL!!!!

I KNEW I made the right decision in rescuing my sweet girl!!!!  And YES, she's getting extra treats for Christmas this year!!!!

Hope everyone had a great day!!  Mine's been crazy busy, tomorrow promises more of the same, but I WILL try to check in!!!

Hugs,

Tia

Awe, that's too sweet!!  My older cat (died back in spring) used to present us with mice at our back porch.  I think the extra treats kept causing her to do it.  I swear we had at least 3 mice a week on our back patio!

We just took my (soon to be) 7 year old to the SPCA today to look at cats.  Her birthday is next week and she's been begging for a cat.  She's checked out several books on cats and how to raise them so far this year...so...we gave in!!  We'll be picking Sophie up probably on Friday!  Who knows, maybe she'll be a mouser too!!  But then again, I'm going to try to keep her from going outside if possible.  The other cat was a wilde cat found outside abandoned when she was about 4 weeks....Sophie has been an indoor cat her whole life...

Yummy!!  My male cat is a mouser and once he's killed the mice, he's done.  Quite frequently I'll come out in the morning to a lovely gift in the kitchen/dining room.  If the dogs get there first they mouth it a bit before giving it up.  Ewwwww....

Good thing Happeroo didn't get that glue trap stuck to her muzzle, that would have been painful to get off!  Hope you and the Hubers have a great turkey day.  We're heading to Annie's and I can't wait!

Revised to VSG (6/11/09) weighing 253...
