Do you have a . . .
I actually have a question about tattoos and WLS, because I have 3 tattoos. Once you lose all that weight, do the tattoos deform? It's a serious concern, although it's only cosmetic of course. I have an angel on my shoulder blade - symbolic of my late Nana. A bee on a flower on my breast, cuz I"m Lisa "B". I also have an armband, barbed wire with bleeding hearts.
Hi Lisa,
I talked with a tattoo artist about the deforming thing and he had lost 80+ lbs recently due to frontal lobe surgery and said that none of his tattoos had had that problem. I'm still skeptical however, depending on where it is. Fortunately mine is on my ankle and the new one will be on the other leg - inner ankle, where I don't have much, if any, weight to lose. I would think the only one that might be am issue would be the armband but only if you ended up needing arm plastics. But then again it wouldn't be where anyone would notice since plastics are done on the inside portion.
My 2 cents...

No but I have wanted one for a while now. I am gonna wait untill I at least get a year or so out from surgery to see how much my body changes and where exactly I want to put it...lol
I am not sure what I want. Maybe something to recognize my daughter or maybe something a lil sexy where not everyone can see....hehehe. I am not exactly sure

Hey Lisa! I don't have one yet, but have been dead set on the same one for about 10 years. They say if you pick one and you still want it a year later, then it was the right one to pick...guess I'm locked in good huh? It wouldn't have looked good on my pre-op body, but after the baby and after I hit my goal (shooting for July) I'm going to have it done. Here it is below (hope you can see it). Mine won't be quite as long, but you get the idea. It'll probably take 2 or 3 sessions to get it all finished. Definitely something I need to save up for.
