OT: In need of help
If it is a water turnoff, you may be able to work out a payment plan with Anne Arundel County (call customer service (M-F, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) 410-222-1144. But if you miss a payment all 'agreements' are off and they will turn you off.
Good luck!

Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
its not a water turn off. its electric turn off. kristen girl, you have been wonderful through this. its nice to know there really are decent people out there willing to help when it is truly needed. you won't belive where i am sitting right now with my lap top....lmao its plugged into a charger in the truck..hell at least its warm and getting charged up at the same time....
I am sorry about your situation. BGE used to be nice but they have gotten so nasty. I have heard that the churches in the crofton area have the Crofton caring council. Try Saint Elizabeth Seaton Chur*****rofton. I really wish you well times are so hard now and the holidays are here too... If I can think of anything else I will send it to you... Good Luck....

Hey! Im sorry you are going through this right now. Have you talked to BGE? When I got a turn off last year I called them. They said as long as I paid on it often they would not cut it off. So anytime I get extra cash whether it was 50 here or 100 there I would run it to Jimmy G's in Glen Burnie and pay on it. I chose Jimmy Gs because they get the money to BGE right away. It shows up in BGEs system within 60 seconds of you making a payment. If you show initiative by paying something weekly they will NOT cut you off. ((((Hugs)))) Also just an FYI Bruce who runs the County Food Bank in Crownsville has donations he gives out to family for heat and electricity. Maybe you can call him too, it wouldnt hurt. Hope this helps some. Good luck honey ~Jilly~
You can apply for Energy Assistance in the 2700 block of North Charles Street and they wiil help. If it's a turn off notice you can call and get an extention fro 7 more days and you no between the months of November and March becasue of the winter they wont cut you off. Just try to put a few dollars on it.

Call BG&E or your local Department of Social Services to ask them where to apply for energy assistance program in your area. I think there is a recording on the BG&E line that gives information of applying for energy assistance. The application process is rather simple and they conduct a minumal user friendly intake process where they ask for minimual documentation for income. Good Luck. Peace & Blessings.
