Daily Workout!!!
Hopefully I am not boring anyone with this thread but I've decided to finally get back on the exercise horse and do something tonight. I haven't exercised in two weeks and I hate the feeling. Today since my bum is still bummed, I will do swimming. Hopefully that won't cause any pain.

After a weekend (while very nice) of social activities and no structured exercise, I really need to push hard this week. Tonight I have the Pilates Reformer class and I want to try and do some work on either the treadmill and/or the recumbent bike before and/or after class.

i have been very focused on exercising lately. this was an aspect of my life that was avid at one time and had completely ceased during my weight gain years. i'm convinced that i will only be successful in the long run if i introduce exercise back into my life. i started training in a running program a little over a week ago and i have loved it so far. it's also amazing how much more exercise i get simply by making adjustments such as taking the stairs at work and parking further away from entrances, etc.
if anyone is intersted in my running program, it's called Couch to 5K and it's a fantastic program.
(nicole.. why don't you edit your first line? it only lends to keeping the negative crap going on here.. and i think we've had enough of all that.)

pam i actually looked into doing something like that but never did. i looked online and there are programs that tell u how long to run then walk to increase your indurance. I think i will do the program after i lose alittle bit more. right now i am doing the running then walking thing on the treadmill and that is helping alot.

the program i'm using does exactly what you have described. it's part of the cool runnings program. i use the podcasts, which i download to my ipod. each week, it increases. i'm only on week two and it's not easy, but i'm completing each walk/run so far. i waited until i got my weight to where i thought i needed it to be before i started. i was worried about my knees and my hips prior to this, but so far, so good. if you decide to give it a try, let me know and i'll point you to the podcasts that i'm using. i'll also give you an update with how i'm doing with it. right now, it's hard to imagine running the entire 3 miles without stopping/walking!
