Good morning!!

Hope everyone had a good weekend.  For the most part, the weather was glorious!!!  I love the cool crisp air to which we awoke this a.m.!!

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  The women and men of the Maryland State Police, for constantly putting their lives on the line for us.  I'm a lucky girl to have some of these folks in my long-standing circle of trust.

2.  Time with friends - HOURS AND HOURS with friends, actually!!!!  I spent some quality time with some quality individuals this weekend and as always, came away with SUCH warm fuzzies!!  lol

3.  Comcast Cable Channel 424 - Traditional holiday music 24/7!!!  WOO-HOO!!!!

Have a great day everyone!!!

Good Morning Everyone

Today I am grateful for

1.  The glorious sunrise this morning :  the drive into work was made so much more enjoyable
with the pinks/oranges and the beautiful colors of the leaves on the trees

2.   Time spent with friends this weekend:  like Tia said : hours and hours.

3.  Holiday baking season:  I don't myself but a coworker bought in a pumpkin roll
this morning :  am eating a very small piece right now.

4.  Dinner with family yesterday after church.  Not only got to see them at church but
went to dinner with Sis & her family, Brother and his wife, and Mom and Dad,
My bro in law and I had a great view of the bigscreen in the lounge and got a little
loud when the Ravens scored LOL  OKOK  A lot loud.   GO RAVENS AND THANK GOD WE
HAVE A QUARTERBACK. FINALLY

A wonderful visit with my parents on Saturday.   Not a whole lot of talking but several hours of companionable silence watching old WWII movies with dad.   Mom looked like a million bucks.   I have a picture with her that I will try to get posted on my profile page.   She looked wonderful, but her mind is so scattered.   The good news was that she was in good spirits though which was a blessed relief also.   As potentially morbid as this sounds, if this were to be the last time I saw Mom, I would have very happy memories of the visit.

My best friend.   She and I have been best friends for over 30 years and while we don't talk all the time, we alwasy pick up where we left off and there is nothing she would not do for me or I for her!

Seeing other family.   Our trip was to see my parents and we made no other plans until we got there and knew exactly what we would do or not do with mom and dad, but then did fit in dinner with my sister in law her her hubby and kids and then breakfast/brunch at our favorite diner with the two CT brothers and and family before we headed back yesterday.

Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

Moie -

I'm glad you made it safely up and back - I know what a quick trip it was for you.  I'm also glad that your visit was drama free and that you came back with warm fuzzies.

I can't wait to see a pic of your Mom!

I, too, have friends who have been around for a long time - I call them low-maintenance friends - like you said, there's something comfortable about being able to pick up where you left off - as if no time had passed.

Yes, I consider you a low-maintenance friend!!  LOL!!!

Love ya,

Tia

LMAO!!!!!  Actually, since you KNOW what a stickler I am for spelling/grammar, I had to go back and double check my own spelling!!!!!

Thanks for keeping me on the ball this a.m., Mo Fiend!!!!

LOL!!!

Hey Moie!  Glad you had a great trip and I completely understand your sentiments about if this were the last time you saw your Mom.  I always worry about the last time I talk to my mother being an argument about something stupid; which she usually tends to start LOL  I am however thankful that she has her whits about her to actually START one ;)

Revised to VSG (6/11/09) weighing 253...

hey tia

i am not too grateful today. kind of a bad day 4 me. but i am trying to get over this hump. I think i just need to have a good cry and take personal responsibility for getting myself where I am.

1. although things look bad right now, a part of me knows that its really not that bad.

2. having a job.

3. going to exercise today.
