Wow
I have to say this very much saddens me. I used to love this board and used to come here for support, to catch up with people and what they had going on in their lives and just the diversity of it all. Now, nah. It seems that this is always going to happen on a public forum and that's sad that grown people cannot seem to get along. How in the world do we expect to be able to solve any of the world problems if we cannot even get along in a small public forum for WLS? If I were a newbie who had either just had surgery or was thinking of having surgery I would RUN out of this room and never come back. How sad that is. There is a good amount of positive support on OH, I guess it's just finding it now. This post is NOT directed at any one person no matter what people may think. It's sad that I have to clarify that.
Now...with that said...I am doing pretty well. Life goes on and yes, I miss my dad every day but he's with me no matter what. :-) I had my two-year follow up with Dr. Afram last Wednesday and I am doing very well and still maintaining!!!! WOOOOHOOO!!!After my follow-up I had my consult with the plastic surgeon! YAY! I am hoping to schedule my lower body lift for the end of January and then my breast lift for April or May. I am very excited to be at the end of my journey and then maintain for the rest of my life. Always remember, this surgery is a tool. Use it wisely and it can carry you through for the rest of your life. :-) If ANYONE wants my support, has any questions or anything you can always PM me, email me or meet me and the other wonderful people at the Crofton Support Group which is open to any and all pre-op, post-op or even just thinking of starting the journey! I feel that support is key and very important and ANY support group is another fantastic tool to be used in this journey we have chosen to take.
Have a happy day, week, and holiday season. Remember our troops overseas and pray for their safe return.
