B-12 injections

I do.  I just pay a regular Rx copay for the B-12 liquid and my H gives me the shot.  I was on insulin before, which I gave myself, as well as blood thinners.  I also give myself Enbrel shots twice a week.  But I did all of those in my stomach or thigh.  It is too akward to give myself a shot in my upper arm, so I have my H do it.  He enjoys it.  He's weird. I think he's got a bit of sadist in him.

However, the first two were done in my doc's office and I didn't pay anything for them.  Maybe it is a difference in insurance?

Your hubby is good!

You can give yourself the shot on your thigh. That's what I do.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

I do a sublingal every other day and B-Complex every day (from Walmart), so far my labs are great.

I do the monthly shots and i give them myself...mine came from sam's and they are in individual vials (I like that better so there is no chance of contamination of the larger vial.)

My Rx says to inject subQ... I give in my stomach area the 1st of every month so i don't forget to do it.  My levels have been very good since starting the injections.

best of luck!!!!!

I get the shot also. But I do use the subingual in a liquid eye dropper. it is red just like the shot. it is 1200mcg, but the tablets i've tried are 2500mcg.

I havent had to get them yet as I am newly postop, but I am lucky enough that there is a nurse practicioner (sp?) at the gym I attend and she offers them every thursday night for $10 if you are a member so thats a huge plus and an awesome convienence!! I could never imagine giving myself a needle so I think I will have to do that....lol

april, does she charge the $10 to administer your prescription or does the $10 cover the b-12 as well?  i only pay about $10 for a year's prescription, including needles.  i haven't gotten up the nerve to inject myself, so my husband has been doing it.  however, i never thought about injecting my thigh, so maybe i will try to do that next month.  i was worried about the angle of doing my arm myself because it's such a full needle.  thanks for the advice about the thigh.
