Hi Tia,

Generally, I don'****ch scary movies - 'cuz...well...they're scary.

With that in mind, mine are:

1.) The Ring
2.) Carrie (The one with Sissy Spacek)
3.) Nightmare on Elm Street (I've not been able to watch the whole thing).

Peace and Blessings, -Antoinette

Hey Toni -

Well...............there are some that are better to watch WITH someone, of course!!!

Yep, after I posted, I thought about the original Carrie.  Man, was Sissy Spacek creepily ugly in the bucket o'blood scene???????  But wasn't John Travolta HOTTTTT????!!!!  LOL!!!

You there Friday?  Saturday?

Well, this is a hard one for me to pick from. I love scary movies, but an not too big on the slasher, blood & guts ones.

I think the really good ones are rare. The last one that really creeped me out was The Silence of the Lambs. I watched it at home, by myself.

For many years it was the vampire movies. I think this has to do with the fact that a dear, but sometimes wacky Aunt of mine took me to see my first one when I was 5 years old. For many, many years after that, I could not sleep without a cross around my neck. I also always slept with a sheet wrapped around my neck, even in the hot weather. I did finally overcome this obsession, but I still like to watch a good vampire movie.

Hey Debbie!!!

I LOVE the old Lon Chaney, Bela Lugosi movies.  You're right, the good ones ARE rare.  I agree, too, with The Silence of the Lambs!!  CREEPY!!  (BONUS QUESTION:  What did they use to make the larvae/cocoon in that movie?)

Hmmm......I wonder if KB will one day say, "A dear, but sometimes wacky Aunt of mine....!"  LOL!!!

I used to do the blankets around my neck, too!!!  I wish theaters would run showings of old movies more than they do!!

Tia - I am taking a guess at this, but was it a tootsie roll?

  WOW!!!  Deb, you're good!!!

Actually, the ONLY reason I know that is because a friend of mine is a huge fan of that series of movies!!!!

I'm not a big scary movie person, but here are the ones that really got to me growing up.

1.  Nightmare on Elm Street - "1,2 Freddies coming for you. 3,4 better lock your door. 5,6 grab your crucifix.  7,8 gonna stay up late. 9, 10 never sleep again."  Yeah this one scared me silly lol.

2. Steven Spielbergs - It

3.  Children of the Corn
