3 THINGS FOR TUESDAY
Well, it is back to work for me today and it is taking a while to get through all of the email and feel in control again. So I will be brief today.
1 - Anticipation for Halloween - I spent time looking for accessories for my costume yesterday and buying items for the office in preparation for our office party. I am now planning to decorate my office to coordinate with my costume! I love this holiday and am really looking forward to it. My excitement is building.
2 - For my team at work - They really held the fort down while I was away and it is an especially stressful time since we have an implementation coming up this Thursday. They made terrific progress and it is making my return to work more bearable than I anticipated.
3 - That in my Pilates Reformer class last night, my trainer said I was perfectly straight for the first time and my shoulders were down they way they are supposed to be! Either my body is finally adjusting to the changes or it is just that I was not stressed because of vacation - LOL! We will see how I do next Monday after a week of work! Anyway, I will take the improvements/compliments any way I can get them!
P.S. I don't have all of my pictures together yet, but I have added one of me kayaking in FL to my profile so far.
Have a super day!

Hi Deb!!
I love Halloween, too, and always enjoy sitting on the porch with Happy, giving out candy. Well, okay, giving out candy and feeding Smarties to Happy!!! This year, I have a wedding to attend, and it will be the first Halloween in 12 years that I've missed with KB. However, there's no way I'd miss this wedding of a dear OH friend, and I'll see KB before I leave. Make sure you take pics!!!!
Hey, did the hair have fun on vacay, too? It looks great!! I just loved it on you!!!
Glad to see the fluorescent office lighting hasn't burned off your vacay glow yet!!! LOL!!!
Hugs,
T
Hi Tia, an update on me?
Well, I hate to hijak a thread, but since I'm the last to post in it I guess it's ok.
Things with me are going really well in the wt loss dept. 3 more lbs and I'll be in the 200s. I have already lost 41 lbs since the surgery and 49 lbs since highest wt. It is a challenge to work with a 4 oz stomach and put the food and vitamins and fluids in slowly enough not to cause vomiting, while also not being dehydrated or hungry. I'm getting the hang of it. I have a huge container of SF drink on my desk at work and I sip all day. I eat a few bites of food every 2 hours and I take the vitamins only a few at a time, with the food. I can only take in 2-3 oz per hour. Protein shakes are food and not a drink as far as my tummy is concerned.
It's hard to fathom that I am actually pleased to be close to the 200s, when 15 years ago I was so afraid of gaining too close to the 200s it caused me severe emotional distress. This whole obesity experience really helps a person re-evaluate what's important and also to try to be happy wherever you are with your weight and body. My joints are already thanking me.
Since the surgery I haven't slept very well, frequently waking for no reason and sleeping very lightly. Last night I finally slept soundly and caught up on my sleep since I didn't go into the office today.
I hope that's the end of being tired. I feel great otherwise and am much more hopeful for my future. My hug for you was because of what you said about a difficult decision you recently made. I know those can be very hard. Good for you, no matter what the details.
