I am home!

I had my surgery this past Tuesday, and came home Thursday evening.  All is going well. I am walking a lot and getting my fluids in. I started full liquids this afternoon and the pudding and protein powder tasted great compared to broth and jello! I think I'll have cream of something soup tonight.

I am feeling a little sad about not being able to eat some of my favorite foods--but I keep tellig myself that I won't be on liquids forever and that it is worth it!

Thank you all for your support. I hope to make it to a support group soon!

Take care,

Nicki

Welcome Home. I'm 10 days out and can hardly wait to get off these liquids; I really want to sink my teeth into something! Best wishes for a speedy, uneventful recovery!

Welcome home Nicki!  Wishing you all the best and a speedy recovery.  We all go through mourning the foods we can not have after surgery. The first month is usually the hardest but it does get easier.

Take care,

Nicki -

Welcome to the loser's bench!!!  Glad everything is going well.  Don't worry - "mourning" the loss of your friend food is completely normal.

I promise that you WILL again be eating normally - this time, the amount you eat will be restricted and you'll be making healthier choices, but eventually, it will all fall into place.

Hang in there - it DOES get better!

Hugs,

Tia
