WOW!
I celebrated my one-year surgiversary at Disney World. It was our vacation this year. We waited until Columbus Day because we were hoping for cooler weather (we had Kevin's parents with us). We didn't get the cooler weather, but I had soooo much staying power I was amazed. My loss is very slow, but I do walk a lot and I wore a pedometer at Disney. The day that Madeline and I did the Magic Kingdom, we walked almost 10 miles. At the end of the day, my feet were not tired. My legs did not hurt. I felt great the next day. We walked long distances at the other parks, too, though not quite as far because my inlaws were with us and they needed to rest more than me and Madeline.
This is amazing to me. A couple of years ago, one day at WDW would have killed me. On this trip, I did 4 days at Disney and a day at the Kennedy Space Center. I also played in the pool with Madeline in the evenings. When I came home, I was a little sleep-deprived from getting up really early for our return flight, but I wasn't bone-tired the way I used to get.
Yeah, the food was good and I probably ate too much (though I found myself splitting entrees with other people or ordering an appetizer for my main course), but I sure found I needed my water. We had fun!

This actually brought tears to my eyes. I want to be able to do things like this with my daughter too. With my weight, back pain, and joint pains, I'd never survive Disney World. One of my goals is to get this surgery and lose enough weight that I can take my daughter to Disney World for her 5th birthday. She LOVES Mickey Mouse, and she's only 1! She lights up when he comes on TV.

Edieeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! It's SO good to see you and DOUBLY good to hear your good news! Happy Surgiversary!!! Last year a couple months after my one year, and down 80 pounds, we went to Disneyland while we visited family in California. The same NSVs applied to me and it was just SO much fun with Kylie! I'm glad you had a wonderful time with Madeline! Life is actually LIVING for us now!!!
