3 THINGS FOR WEDNESPAY!!
Today I am grateful:
1. My family. Sometimes I feel like it's a circus at my house, but I love them dearly.
2. That I am doing so much better at eating the right foods and the right portions.
3. That my boss is a lawyer, and I get free legal advice and service! It comes in handy with Child Support and Custody issues.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Yep, right there with you on the family - I'd gladly take a bullet for any of them, but sometimes, I'd love to choke every last one of them!!!! And I've no doubt they'd like to do the same to me!! LOL!! But that's what it's all about - family. And you don't need to be blood to be family - this board is proof of that!!
Glad you're doing well on the eating front. If you fall off the wagon, don't get discouraged - trust me, it's a lifelong battle!!!
WOO-HOO on the free advice!! I work for an attorney, too, and even when I DON'T ask for it, he gives advice!! LOL!!! We have a legal plan that is great!!! I was married 20 years ago (this very day, in fact), and got a divorce about 2-1/2 years later and only had to pay $150!!! Can't beat it!!
Hang in there, honey!
Tia
I am thankful for...
1. The scale... since surgery, I've lost 15 pounds!
2. My brother's soccer game tonight at the University of Delaware... I can't wait to get out and do some things I did before surgery!
3. My sister coming tonight from Philly to visit me. She advised me that we are going to the Inner Habor to walk around tomorrow before my 1 week post-op appointment tomorrow at GBMC!
Lauren -
OMG!!!!!! 15 POUNDS IS AWESOME!!! WOO-HOO!!!!!
So does your brother attend UD or is his team playing UD? Ellen on here is a Blue Hen fan, and a UD alum!!
Tomorrow should be a beautiful day at the harbor!! Have a blast!!! Good luck on your doc appt!
Where do you live, btw? If you'd rather pm me, that's fine!
Tia
My brother does go to UD. I've never met Ellen before! That's very cool that she is a UD alum.
I live in Ellicott City (Howard County). But I teach in Anne Arundel County (Right by Arundel Mills!!!)
I know that you got your surgery at GBMC with DVR but since he switched hospitals, do you go to St. Agnes support groups or the ones at GBMC?
Lauren
Lauren -
Ellen's screen name is VeloEllen - she's not on here a lot, but I'll send her a pm and let her know your bro's a Hen. Are the soccer players Fighting Blue Hens, too?
Wow!! You're a teacher? What grade/subject do you teach?
Unfortunately, I never seem to make it to DVR's support groups, but maybe we can get together one day at Arundel Mills.
Hugs,
Tia
I am a 2nd grade teacher and I teach alll of the subjects... it's so much work! I go back to work on Friday-- it's a day off for the students but not for the teachers. I am going to go in and see how destroyed my classroom is! I can't wait for Monday. I miss my kids soo much! It was really cute, the substitute sent a picture of the class to me a few days out of surgery! It made me cry!
That would be fun to go shopping... once I lose more weight! I can't wait to shop in normal size stores! Oh will that be the best day of my life!

Lauren
Lauren - I confess that before this year, I knew NOTHING about UD OR the Hens!!! Only cause a friend of mine is a rabid UD football fan have I really learned anything!! Joe Flacco is from UD!! There, did that impress you?? Yeah, me, too!!! LOL!!
Will your brother have lasting damage to his ankle? That really is the pits!!!
Wow!! A 2nd grade teacher!!! You've got guts, I'll say that!!! Actually, I'd tossed around the idea of teaching - still not sure what I want to be yet when I grow up - but I think I'd prefer pre-K or K. It sounds like you have a great group of kids!!
We don't necessarily have to go shopping - we can window shop, of course, but I like just walking around Arundel Mills. We'll do it!!!
Hugs,
T
